This restaurant has a nice and small menu but my steak was unacceptable. Instead of a medium rare steak I got a well-done one which was dry and overcooked. Our other meals were average and took over an hour to ne served. Utterly disappointed.

We were told by out Guest House that this was well worth a visit. The menu is varied and very reasonable and we had an excellent dinner. The staff mainly the owner and a young waitress were friendly and helpful. I understand that the restaurant has been sold so I hope the new owners maintain the standards.

Never been to Betty's Bay and followed recommendations from tripadvisor. i have to agree with everyone giving this restaurant good reviews. The food was amazing. It was different, special, not something you'll find in other restaurants. Will definitely go back. Excellent meal and evening.

My fiancé and I ate there on Saturday and I must say the food was magnificent. The steak was ample and done to perfection. So was my fried Camembert. Such a pity the waiter didn't attend to us as one would expect. We still wanted to have another drink after we ate, but our plates were quickly taken off he... More

Super Fresh fish selected daily (according to our waiter) and fried to perfection in clean oil with a delicious, crispy beer batter, fries and a delectable greek salad made for a perfect lunchtime meal. Simple food well prepared - a most enjoyable experience was had by all in our party of 6.

Tides serves great food from a wide-ranging menu, with the emphasis on fish. Calamari, linefish, prawns - all excellent, and cheerfully and efficiently served.
