Super quick service, we had great burgers - one vege, one brisket - hard to go past. … and the mulled ginger beer was delicious. Would recommend

Cargo Gantley's Pub & Café in Arthurs Point, Queenstown I highly recommend for a casual light dinner. The fireplace provided a cosy warmth on a cool night and if needed rugs are available at your table but more provide a welcoming visual as the fireplace...is doing its job. We ordered Haloumi & Veg Escabeche, Crispy Potatoes and Tortilla Chips & Dips that we shared. A mulled wine is a treat on a cool night. We followed up dinner with a Boozy Choc Tart. This Pub is worth the 10-15 drive from Queenstown. Suggest booking in peak times.More

We were staying at Arthur's Point and popped in here for a couple of burgers and beers. We were not disappointed. A lovely restored building with lots of different areas and corners to sit if you want a quiet spot. The food was delicious and...service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend stopping in here for a meal. They also have free wifi that works well if you are not a local.More

We came across this place on the way back to Queenstown from Coronet Peak and it was gorgeous! Amazing selection of craft beers and the food was delicious!! We had the brisket and chicken burgers and some others had the rice bowls with the barbecued...veg and meat (you can have without meat), and this was definitely a foodie highlight of our trip. The staff were run off their feet but were handling it in style too, thanks guys we’ll definitely be back for moreMore

Myself and friends stopped in at the iconic Gantleys for lunch. We seated ourselves and I went inside to find a menu and order drinks. I was Informed there was no table service and to return to the bar to order our food, we were...ok with that. However I ordered 3 drinks, and asked the person serving the drinks if she could lend me a tray to carry drinks to our table or give me a hand, she didn’t help and didn’t have a tray. Our food arrived, the halloumi & winter vegetable escabeche had very few vegetables, it was a very small lunch meal, the Farmhouse game pate was possibly a terrine, definitely not pate, the burger was beef brisket, we ordered chicken. No one came and asked how our meals were, so we just ate what we could. When paying we advised of their mistake with our order, they said they had not made a mistake with our order. Although in a lovely garden setting, we will not return, with so many restaurants to choose from in the area, why would weMore

Spent a stunning afternoon here enjoying a great meal outside in the sun, with a lovely wine with a stunning setting. Really enjoyed our time here.

We stopped in for lunch after a visit to nearby Onsen hot pools. Really lovely food and great atmosphere. The carrot and cumin falafel were a standout. We sat on the deck but there was also a lovely beer garden.

The warmth and cosiness of the bar are lovely but we were really disappointed by the food. I had the beef brisket roast dinner - it was not a very large portion and the horseradish sauce was served on the dinner. It was a strong...and overpowering flavour sadly and would be better served on the side. My husband had the haggis - very authentic and tasty but could have been presented better. The sauce was gloopy. We are not fussy eaters and it was expensive, so expected more. On a positive note the staff were really helpful and friendly.More

We turned up here one rainy June morning for an early lunch and it was an oasis with the lovely interiors and fire going. Loved the halloumi salad and the fries are to die for. Also great coffee and hot chocolate. Would love to visit...again in warmer weather and enjoy the lovely garden too.More

Visited this craft brewery/ restaurant in the old Gantly building. Great atmosphere and the staff were awesome. Their craft beers are exceptional, especially the Cargo Lager (5%). Had a snack lunch and all food was great. The Haggis meal and the Brisket Burger were especially...nice.More

It may sound simple to rate them for the delicious soy chai latte and basic toast with peanut butter but they exactly know how to make simple food delicious and nutritious with their creative ideas. I hope the picture justifies my review and not to...forget - their staff is very friendly, too! Love their service! Cheers!More

Cargo @ Gantleys is our favourite local in Arthur’s Point. This joint has the best staff, best coffees and best beer. Sun and bean bags in the summer and a roaring fireplace in the winter. The culture reminds me of Gantleys how it used to...be… a warm welcoming enjoyable place to visit. We tell all of our friends to check out Gantleys when they are in town. New crisp deck and wicked outdoor fire too :)More
