Strange Victoriana shop / Restaurant but definitely worth a visit if in the area. For sale in the shop were a collection of new and old items as well as what appeared to be locally produced jams etc. We had lunch there and all 4...of us enjoyed it. Large portions and all well prepared. I had the chicken pie which was filling but also tasty and my wife thought her chicken salad was lovely although again a very large portion. The other two had burgers which they were also very complimentary about. Great value as well.More

Walking into a beautiful French Neuvou setting, greeted by friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Breakfast was a little disappointing as had to wait for our toast and egg was not cooked all the way through, when asking for my tomatoes to be fried the...plate was returned uncooked. Staff seemed abit cheesed off after that and took a while to come back to the table. The vintage style restaurant is filled with brick-a-brack to purchase as well as artisnal breads jams and coffee.More

What a surprise. A building with plain facade in a small town.....you open the door and an Aladdin's cave is within. Lots of pretty thing to look at and buy and a restaurant that takes you back a Victorian era. The food was great and...the ambiance wonderful. Definitely a hidden gem.More

What a quaint little place in humansdorp. Lunch was generous portions and really delicious. Love the interesting French decor. Also an interesting shop. Really a great find for me and I’ll certainly be back.

Excellent atmosphere in unexpected location. Short visit made you believe that quality and style can be combined with choice and taste without breaking the bank. Well worth getting off the carriage way.

We had a 4 hour drive on the N2 and were looking for somewhere for breakfast. There were no obvious road side cafes so we followed the signs to Humansdorp and Trip Advisor led us here. What a strange place. A mix between a Victorian...curio shop, a grocers and a restaurant. Our food was fantastic. Don’t be put off by the road side look of the place either.More

Le Chameleon has a variety of more traditional South African food. The food and service is excellent. We really enjoyed our food.

Very popular day restaurant with lots of kitsch things for sale in addition to local food stuff. A scented stick or something was being burnt in a central area which I was allergic to. I would have had to leave if our table was within...smelling distance, luckily not. Very friendly and efficient waitresses. Very good homestyle cooking with vegetarian options. Fairly reasonably priced.More

We visited here on our drive from Addo to George. We've been here before and loved it last time due to it's quirky decor and good food. However, even though the quirky decor is still here and great, the food has gone downhill. I ordered...chicken and chips for brunch, and I'm not sure what the chips had been cooked in, but they tasted like hospital food. Such a shame as when we were here prior to this visit, it was fab! Would try it again to see if improved, and worth a visit just to see the shop and to have a cuppa.More

When a friend suggested we meet at a restaurant / coffee shop in Humansdorp, I was skeptical - to say the least...But, what an experience! The shop area has something for everybody - well priced and a pleasure to experience. The menu was extensive and...DELICIOUS! We had bobotie rolls and chicken pie as well as a light white wine!More
