I visited the Peacock Tree twice during my stay on Koh Phayam and both times I was amazed by the quality of the food. I'm vegan and attended one of the plant based taster evenings and a fundraiser night and all I can say is...'Wow!' Inventive, tasty, beautifully presented and all served with a smile. Make a visit, you won't be disappointed :)More

went there to have a break of thai food and to appretiate some different taste. however we ended up disappointed. food was not special at all, rather boring . Positive: the serve drinkable wine in real wine glasses , which is very rare on Ko...Phayam . Friendly staff, nice seating . The lamb curry had a little sweet note, which we never like in a indian curry. (ragan gosh) ( No , it was not a korma !)More

Excellent Indian food on Phayam. Highly recommend the Malai Kofta and the Butter Chicken Masala. Also, they make great cocktails and the decor and ambiance is great. Very nice spot, I will definitely be back.

Wonderful food, didn't dissapoint after reading all these great reviews and we can see why people say this is the best food on the island. We've tried other Indian restaurants in Thailand and they were very disappointing, however the peacock tree is really on another...level, so good! Would recommend the lamb rogan josh (this was a special) as the lamb was cooked really well, and the garlic cheese naans. Great setting, nice staff, a bit slow on service but they did have a large table in. The whole meal worked out quite expensive (for Thailand) but so worth it. Would come again and recommend you visit!More

I was very pleased with my visit to the peacock tree! Lovely friendly staff, and really helpful. I stayed in Koh phyam for 5 nights and couldn’t help myself but eat here 3 of the nights! I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing...😍 My friend and I both tried various dishes but the butter chicken was our favourite 😋 very reasonable price too!More

We have been now in Ko Phayam more than two weeks, and yesterday was our second time at The Peacock tree restaurant. We tried to visit there many times, but once food was finished and two times restaurant was fully booked and twice just closed....At first I want to say, that food was great 5/5. This place atmosphere is also nice. Good menu and nice food. Bad thing was service. We can give max 3/5 for that. We spent there maybe 2 hours and more than half of that just waiting to get contact to someone. Little bit boring. They just dont have enought staff. And also if you dont go there right when they open, they will be full and wont be able to give you table, they will say they are full for the whole evening. Enyway, food was awesome good and tasty, so I think one more time for Peacock tree!More

Hello. Thank you so much for your review. It is always interesting for us to hear both the positives and negatives. Re your 3/5 service rating- the reason we were closed was because I, the owner was extremely sick and prefer to close than to...More

A freind of ours recommend this restaurant which is run by the charming and talented Daisy. We initially came here on a charity fundraising night for the koala hospital in Australia and the food was a vegetarian buffet. As a veggie myself I was in...my element and everything that came out of the kitchen was amazing quality and presentation. The malai kofta was to die for. After such a wonderful evening we went there again the following evening and once again the food was amazing. As well as dishes such as butter chicken, there are also vegan and veggie options available and a good selections of wine, beers and spirits. The Peacock tree does get quite busy so it's well worth booking and there can be a bit of a wait but it's so worth it. The staff are so freindly and welcoming and The price point reflects the amazing quality of the food. I only wish we were staying longer on the island so that we could return again! Daisy is an absolute legend who is a real asset to the island community and if you're lucky you might also get to meet the gorgeous residents kitties. Ps: save room for dessert as the cheesecake is just.... Wow 🍰❤️More
