... On earth 😊 We were on koh phayam for 10 days and we went to cha Chai at least once a day. Breakfast or dinner there each day was a must. The food is amazing as well as the drinks.

A fully vegetarian restaurant with many Thai, Western and fusion options, they do a great job at offering vegetarian alternatives for different meats and even fish. The food in itself is a great reason to go, but their shakes are just amazing! Their normal shakes...are already great with classics and also a lot of original and delicious recipes (available as a juice, shake, milkshake or lassi variations on most of what they offer). If you go you must try the holy blue passion. Their Supershakes are also great (the "feeling sexy" is cocoa paradise). Definitely a place to visit if you are on the island.More

The best restaurant and -as far as I can tell - in the whole world. I am not exaggerating. For me it really is.

We loved this place so much we ate here twice in one day! The owners are kind and freindly and the staff are also lovely! As a vegetarian I was on my element to find a place that is exclusively vegetarian & Vegan! They have...a huge menu of both western and Thai dishes! We had veggie burger and mango chutney with cheese sandwiches for lunch on homemade bread. The bread was out of this world and the mango chutney was soooo good. In the evening we opted for Thai dishes my partner has sweet and sour "chicken" (vegan substitute) and I had a veggie massaman curry also with vegan "chicken" it was a nice change from tofu. Talking of Tofu.. There resident kitty who is also called Tofu who is just gorgeous. All in all the food was delicious, the service was great and the whole place has a nice ambiance and I feel like the owners are a big part of the local community as they sell art works and have a library available. Their selection of chai tea both hot and cold is well worth a mention too. We will certainly return when we are in koh Phayam again. Highly recommended.More

My partner and I have visited Koh Phayam four times over the last three years. Every time we are on the island, we simply cannot pull ourselves away from Cha Chai home. We go every day and I know for sure that if we lived...on the island, this would not change. I think that any meat eater would be over the moon to eat here, but as a long term vege, and almost more relevantly, someone who is interested in health and well-being, I cant put into words the joy that this place fills me with! Every aspect of the business is run with care, consistency and clearly a huge amount of hard work and dedication from Charmaine and Chai (the wonderful owners). The selection of food and drinks is both extensive and precise. To be perfectly frank I find it hard to comprehend how some of these dishes/ingredients could be put together in my huge city, London, let alone on a remote Thai island where the origin of the ingredients/dishes as well as the language and culture surrounding them would be entirely foreign to most of the lovely team at Cha Chai home. As a business owner myself, I take my hat off to Charmaine, Chai and the team. The culture of this business is something to strive towards.More

We are neither vegetarian nor vegan, and were a bit sceptical whether dinner at Cha Chai would be satisfying enough. Hence, we grabbed a snack at the beach prior to stopping by and wished we would have arrived hungry. The food selection is huge, the...taste amazing, and the portions filling. We had no space for desserts! The drinks are also amazing, so many juice mixes for all tastes and catering to any health trends and dietary trends that anybody might be following. We returned the next day for brunch, indulging on a curry and the out of this world cashew butter desert, which is so rich that it’s almost a meal in it’s own. The restaurant has a cool hippie vibe. Is very family friendly. Great staff. And superb food. Oh and bring you own water bottles for a refill. 1.5 litre for 10 baht. You can even get sole water (Interesting taste) for +5 baht. Wish we had more than just a few days in Phayam to taste more of the great food at Cha ChaiMore

Hi, we are about 10 minutes walk along the road back towards the pier from Himmapan. Hope this helps! Thanks :-)
