Have. It eaten here but again the prices of the food look expensive, it seems that this part of Norfolk is living up to its nickname of "Chelsea on sea" and charging accordingly. Interestingly there was no one eating

Used to call in here quite regularly when on holiday in the area, before it was refurbished. Now, it just seems to lack a certain something. The food was overly rich and overpriced in my opinion. Such a shame, as it used to be a great pub/hotel.

Stopped for lunch ahead of coastal walk, very pleased we did. All 4 had fish & chips, top quality haddock and massive chunky chips, feel like I've eaten a bag of spuds 😀 If the mushy peas had some mint it would be 5 star. Top beers to boot. Well done George.

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights in order to visit a number of nature reserves and Felbrigg Hall all of which were close by. Our room had been recently decorated and was clean, comfortable with a with a clean modern en suite shower room. Locally sourced breakfast was perfect with a menu including smoked haddock, kippers... Nice family get together but a bit last minute so ended up at The George as there was room for our party of 6. Really lovely service but the rest was distinctly average. The fish was fresh and well cooked and the wine was decent. But nothing special and a bit lacking in atmosphere. Maybe better at lunchtime?

Visited for a drink on a warm evening. Sat across the road on benches, beware of the midges. Views across the marsh. Pleasant enough but not stunning.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The staff were helpful and welcomed our two dogs in the bar, which was nice as we would have been happy to sit outside. The menu was extensive but pricey for lunch. My husband had the seafood linguine and at £17.95 for a bowl of pasta he was expecting great things. He was disappointed... More

Stopped here for lunch halfway through a 20 mile walk. The beers were good and the fish and chips were excellent. I would have given this place four stars if they had not added a service charge for the meals and four beers that were simply passed to me at the bar. I'm happy to pay a service charge when... More

The bar and rooms here are clean and well decorated. The staff were helpful, open and friendly for my two night stay. My room was tasteful, the shower was good and the bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated, in the hottest September days I have ever known, that there was a fan in the room. The food was good, and... More
