No menu's, just sit at a table and the owner tells you todays menu in a very entertaining way. Authentic meals: Iguana, Goat Stew and local fish. Very tasty. After dinner the owner invited us over to sit in the rocking chairs while we ate our complimentary ice cream. The restaurant looks authentic and there is a lot to see.... More

Went here as a friend recommended who is from the island! AMAZING! Tried their iguana stew which was new, but good. Their grouper meal was delicious as well. We were explained the history behind restaurant, taken care of wonderfully by Jaanchai himself, and were given ice cream to finish off our delicious lunch. Great experience and great staff. Would definitely... More

I wish we found more places like this on the island. I was a bit skeptical after the reviews about cost and cleanliness so I was pleasantly surprised. Although the food is local the patrons are primarily tourists. I found the place to be clean and friendly. No frills . . . No views , and expect to eat with... More

Food was Ok But as it was a Sunday it took 2 hours to get 1 course Jaanchie sits down and explains the menu - but not the prices - which depends on who you are We are locals but still got ripped off, as the Antillean family of 4 in front of us paid less than the 2 of... More

The food was good. The price and menu isn't displayed because it is a "walk around" menu. That is the server (I'm guessing Jaanchie), comes up to you and tells you what is available and has recommendations. Food is pretty good. Smart idea to have a walk around menu and you kinda don't know what you are going to pay.... More

If you want to try good typical food from Curacao, this is the place to be! The owner is such a charming man always explaining what there is on the menu and advising you in what you should get. It's really a place you have to go!

We found a cab driver to take us to and around Westpunt all day. When we asked him for something good and local, he took us to Jaanchies. It was about 3 p.m. and we walked right in around several other groups. There was a band serenading each table, the decor had a lot of character and we could already... More

As we expected, Jaanchies met our expectations, its nothing glamorous and the service is average, but that's part of the experience. From the walking menu Jaanchie himself, telling us what they had in the kitchen that day, to the local treats, like iguana, it was a nice experience. A nice complimentary ice cream in the rocking chairs just aside from... More

We greatly enjoyed the lunch we had at Jaanchies. We sat by the bird atrium and enjoyed watching them while we ate. Wonderful service including Jaanchie explaining the menu of the day to each table. The pricing is per person. Try the iguana! Banana ice cream was yummy.

"Walking" menu as someone else commented with no prices. Sticker shock when we saw the bill for a meal I wouldn't have paid $10 for in the States. I had fish that was bland, old and so overcooked it got stuck in my teeth and hurt! Worthless iceburg lettuce salad with no dressing. Caribbean rice and beans was okay, kinda... More
