The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful especially when they heard we were celebrating. The venue itself is really interesting and its worth a visit just to see it. The atmosphere was buzzy and really lent itself to a party...More

Really, really good food - although slightly intimidating for non meat eaters at first. However, the veggie option was great. The portions are not enormous - which is good as it means you can save room for the AMAZING cheese cart. World class good.

Steak was incredible but the wait was over an hour even when the restaurant was empty at time of ordering. The other mains were very small portions. Staff constantly attempted to upsell which made us uncomfortable after a while.

Having heard it’s reputation, it was more in hope than expectation that we walked in without a reservation at 7pm on a Saturday evening. We were politely told the restaurant was fully booked but if we didn’t mind eating at the bar we would be...More

During our brief stay in Cape Town, my husband and I had dinner at four amazing restaurants and this was one of them. Everything was fabulous. The ambiance was perfect, the staff was extremely attentive and the food was fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food and venue was great but Vuoy (who served us) was an absolute delight. Such a genuine lovely person that made our experience great!

We thought we'd try the set degustation menu and were very happy that we did. The only issue was the wine pairings. We had the standard wines, and the last 2, the pinotage and the dessert wines just didn't do well with the food. The...More

Perhaps expectations were to high. The waiters are excellent, and the interior visual pleasing to look at, and even though the little bit of food you get for the amount of money you pay was tasty, we left disappointed. Glad I finally got around to...More

Miniscule portions - the mains are the size of starters and everything is ludicrously overpriced considering the Cape Town context. Overfussy service. They wouldn't split the bill for one table. You don't have to be pretentious to be good.
