We were staying at Swinford Manor Farm so only a 10 minutes walk to this pub, but the menu was brilliant. We had a fabulous meal, great atmosphere, good service - the fish and chips were superb - a really lovely night out

Enjoyed delicious Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago. Great selection on the Carvery with excellent choice of roast meats and fresh vegetables served by friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended and we will be certainly going back

Decided to go here for lunch last Sunday, they have a carvery,so there's no waiting. As we're cab drivers this is very handy for us, it means there's a good chance we'll be able to eat our meal before we get a call! It's advertised as being a proper English roast, all freshly prepared and home made and it certainly... More

Stopped here for lunch as family were moored on the river. The meal was lovely, very filling and hot but not much on the menu for vegetarians. Left the car in the car park whilst we walked along the river which the staff said would be ok, will definitely be back.

Well situated on the Thames where you can sit outside in the sun. So good for a drink. Evening food was ok. A bit unkept outside and inside the pub. Rooms could do with a 'sparkle' I.e. did them up a while ago by the looks of things and now a bit tired in places. Staff enjoyed a drink and... More

Stopped in with a couple of friends for a bite to eat. Was recommended the pulled pork burger by the bar staff telling me it was banging... it wasn't!! The pork was really dry just happened to be covered in a bbq sauce biting through it wasn't pleasant tasted like the burger itself was part cooked then just reheated to... More

Very nice meal - the cow pie was delicious. Good, friendly service. Lovely riverside location. Unpretentious, good hearty food. Dog friendly.

With next to no pubs for food to choose from in the Farmoor/Cumnor area we visited the Talbot whilst on holiday and had two meals there which were of good value from an extensive menu. The food was very good and the service was excellent

Nice evening meal, plenty of choice, not too crowded when we were there, not too expensive either. Just a short stroll from the swinford manor farm b&b.

Thank Sarah P
