4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

A pub re invented as a gastro pub with a decent menu, well decorated and tastefully presented decor, really clean and fresh toilets (a good sign always) and with reasonable well trained staff. The food was pretty good - I had a burger (OK not imaginative, but just what I needed) and to be honest it was excellent - good... More

Fantastic, relaxed evening. The food superbly presented. The Twice baked Leonard Stanley cheddar soufflé, braised leeks, spinach and spring onion,& truffle cream was delicious. The beer battered cod was gorgeous and light, and the Orange and rhubarb tart was to die for

Found in tripadvisor -and worthy of its feedback profile on here. Lovely friendly pub right from point of booking through to breakfast and departure. Bedrooms finished to high standard and staff are fantastic. Food excellent, good portion size (had heard it was small food portions, but wasn't). Restaurant not as busy as I was expecting on a Saturday night -... More

This place is a quirky village pub with lots of character. The staff are very welcoming and attentive and then there's the food... the food at this place is lovely. Very flavoursome with a good variety on the menu. It is also very well presented. There is also a good variety of guest ales that are changed regularly. I would... More

My wife and I stayed at The Greyhound last Saturday with another couple. The pub is located in quiet village with lots of character. On arrival at lunchtime the staff were very welcoming and had kindly ensured our rooms were ready for check-in early as we wanted to go walking. Our superior en-suite double was a little cramped but that... More

Dropped in here for a beer and sandwich at lunch time. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Sandwiches a little toppish in price but no complaints regarding quality. Has a large garden at the rear and the establishment appears to have been recently been renovated to a high standard. Will return

A lovely welcoming pub - the wood burner was lit adding to the ambiance. I had a cheese and haddock soufflé which which was beautifully presented and as delicious as it looked. My friend had a homemade burger which was also well presented and smelt very appetising. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this traditional inn with an up to date... More

Arte here with friends on a Saturday night. got a great table in an isolated, cosy part of the pub, but still very well served. Good selection of beer and wine and the food is excellent, though portions are quite modest compared to normal pub grub.

As fellow inn owners, we appreciate being properly looked after. The newly restored greyhound does everything very well--warm in winter, good beers, outstanding food and superb rooms. Mostly intelligent staff, which is also very unusual and hard to achieve. Thanks.
