Quite a different feel to a normal pub but really nice. As there was a largish group of us we were in a room all to ourselves with a nice big table so we could spread out and enjoy our selves. Great beer and the bar staff knew their beer and were happy to let us have samples to taste.... More

Another late decision to eat on Friday evening but this really was a lovely place to find. Great feel to the place both on the welcome & just how it looks - clever mix of open area tables & little nooks. Food is very very good, great selection & daily special - & terrific value.

Our trip was wonderful from start to finish! Delicious lunch, great drinks and fantastic customer service on the Saturday. Beautiful bedrooms, clean and great size- lovely toiletries , good quality linens, big and very comfy bed. Great night sleep followed by a delicious breakfast! Nothing was too much trouble and everyone we came into contact with was personable and very... More

We only stayed a night on route to a christening, which is a shame as it was so nice. The staff were excellent, unbelievably helpful, thoughtful and for squeezing us in for our evening meal despite how busy they were and that we were late to arrive. Everyone was very tolerant of our toddler and dog!! Everything was high quality,... More

Had heard some good reports about The Greyhound so decided to try it out for lunch today. Very nice atmosphere and friendly welcome. The food was very nicely presented and was delicious. We both had a starter and main course, and the portions were good...sadly we couldn't manage any more as the puddings and cheese selection were very tempting. Will... More

We turned up on a Sunday evening - pub was quiet. But the welcome was very warm. We chose quite different things from the menu, but each plate was just fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we had, washed down with some good Northern beers. Can't recommend the place highly enough.

Four of us spent a night there on a walking holiday. The welcome was warm, the rooms were really nice (if a little small(. The choice of beer was great and the meal was wonderful. Really imaginitive and interesting menu and great tasting.
