Visited with friends. Food was so nice. And at a reasonable price We had Isla ( I think that was her name) as our waitress she was very happy to help with any request we had. Everything is cooked from scratch including the amazing ice cream. We will be going back. 😊

Visited this pub completely by chance. Camping a few miles away and wanted drinks, after day at beach. Initially stopped at The George on the main road which was shut ( early on a Saturday evening ?). Fortunately decided to drive on and saw this sign posted. Warm welcome from landlord and helpful bar staff. Obviously seems to have been redecorated... More

We love this pub having visited several times in the past as we are local to area and CAMRA members. We were excited it had reopened to try their beer. The positives are the decor is beautiful, and it is open and airy and menu does look good, what I saw people eating and off menu. The beer garden is... More

We ended up here as the pub on the main road was shut. Very friendly, great service and really delicious food reasonably priced. The dessert was particularly delicious - perfect panecotta, Italian meringue and elderflower sorbet. Inside is refurbished to an eclectic country taste, quiet garden needs some tlc, but we sat inside as it was too hot! A great... More

This pub has recently been reopened following a long spell of being closed. The building has had a complete refurb and looks amazing. The bar selection has some nice niche beers (Freedom a favourite). The owners and staff are equally friendly; as this place is about to become my local I couldn't be more pleased!

My partner and I are relatively local to this pub and we were keen to try it out after we heard it had opened under new management. Well we certainly weren't disappointed! We were greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar who was very knowledgeable about the gins (some 10 different brands on offer and not a Gordon's in... More

Nice friendly welcome Nicely kept beer Good service, meals arrived quickly Delicious seabass tagliatelle and pork bellies, lovely desserts Pub is nicely refurbished in delightful little village in rural Kent. It is a long trip for us, we were on our way to a gig, but is definitely worth another journey.

We had a delicious meal at the Hop Pocket on June 29 th. The belly of pork and sea bass were both delish and the chocolate fondant positively scrummy! The meal was accompanied by a lovely red wine served by Mark who was a very attentive host. Really pleased that this local pub has reopened and will definitely visit again... More

My title tells it all really, but the Hop Pocket is recently re-furbished and makes a very pleasent location for a Sunday lunch in the tranquil village of Bossingham.

Having been a regular over the years and having always enjoyed it, a large party of us were keen to try it once it reopened. All 15 of us ranging from 9 years to 89 years from varying backgrounds and corners of the UK unfortunately did not have many positive things to report about the experience. The 'rustic charm' of...
