We stayed for two nights in a chalet at the inn and our dogs came with us! The restaurant served very tasty traditional pub food and it was nice to sit out in the garden later. Breakfast was good too!

Gorgeous food. Staff friendly and approachable. We had a small child with us, she was well accommodated and we had a wheelchair user, also well accommodated. Couldn't fault it. Nice wine and nice food. Is fairly pricey but worth it.

An old favourtite that had declined in recent years. The oub area has been tarted up, but still lacks a sense of integirty - the huge inglenook fireplace is stunnign but is not woeven into the rest of the small space. The area to the left of the fireplace and next to the men's loos entrance has been changed but... More

First of all the positives, this Inn is in a lovely picturesque village with great rail links to Canterbury (station about 10 minutes away). The staff are friendly and the food is good. Unfortunately the thing that lets this establishment down is the accommodation. Our room was across the road from the Inn, number 17 in a block of 3... More

Having been a fan of this pub. I was very happy with the full English Breakfast that i had today. It was amazing and Terry and Nicola the owners make the visit a wonderful experience. The staff very helpful and caring. Also was able to take my Dog in the resturant with me. Fully recommend this pub for everyone including... More

Stayed here for a local wedding so ate an evening meal after a busy day of wedding preparations. There was plenty of choice on menu, & the food was good, service was friendly. Overall a good experience but only gets an average score from me as it lacked the quality for a 'very good' rank.

Often use this pub for an early evening meal, I always have the pie and the wife will have a chicken meal, hunter, Wellington etc, but with no chicken available she had the scampi or the lack of it, only seven small pieces....... We will still use the pub, but in future avoid the Scampi.

We, a couple with two adult children, had dinner at this wonderfully preserved old inn. The dining room was nice and cosy and the staff very friendly. The menu offered a wide choice. Everyone found something to their liking. We all had something different. The food was excellent and accompanied by four pints of the locally brewed Whitstable blond, which... More
