Good place to recharge after a bike ride

We came here for a late lunch after finishing our bike ride. I had a JP with Chilli Con Carne which was really nice and my girlfriend had the Lasagne which she really enjoyed too. Good portions, staff were friendly and it was a nice cosy place to recharge.

We had a cream tea here for a special family occasion. The staff could not have been more helpful or efficient, and the food was sublime. The sandwiches were exactly as we'd asked, the scones .. . . . .well . . . make sure you're hungry when you arrive, fabulously light, wonderful jams and traditional clotted cream, and then... More

Efficient friendly service. Enjoyed baguettes and pot of tea here several times. Small area of seats outside for smokers and those with dogs. Inside an assortment of rooms with range of chairs and tables. Nice log fire on cold days. Ideal if wanting a break and light snack when walking in the Forest. Plenty of parking space.

My boyfriend and I visited on new years day. It was very busy with a very large group of cyclists but we were served quickly and had a lovely cooked breakfast. Would have been nice if our coffees had come before the food rather than just after but no other complaints. Food was brill compared to our Premier Inn and... More

We have been to this restaurant many times over the last few years, the food is excellent, the staff are friendly, and they love dogs, unlike some pubs and tea rooms that treat dogs like vermin. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant, good food, good prices, loads of parking space.

Stopped for lunch and were very surprised at the menu, which was largely baguettes and sandwiches or "ham egg and chips" types of food. This restaurant appears to cater for the passing tourist trade, with "olde worlde" decor and small tables. In the end we both opted for Lasagne, one with beef and the other with leeks. These were both... More

I regularly visit this tea rooms with friends, have had breakfast once, which was a good English, standard. We have occasionally eaten off the dinner menu, again pretty standard. However, what I want to rave about is the cream teas, the scones are the best around, not small or measly, they come out freshly baked and warm with plenty of... More

Beautiful oldie worldie, restaurant and tea room. Friendly staff, mostly youngsters. Service, though a little slow for me was good.

This was a Tea Shop/ restaurant in the lovely village of Burley in the New Forest that from the outside had everything going for it. Venture within and you will see (at best) average transport cafe food at inflated prices. Never again.
