Popped in as a request by my oldest son... He has a generous bowl of chips and chocolate cake, my mum and I had a cream tea (absolutely scrummy) and my neice had lemon drizzle Cake. The smoothie she had was perfect and my sons chic milkshake too. It was busy but service was good. A little busy and congested... More

We went to this tea room yesterday 26 August 2016 around 4pm. Well never again. I ordered two cream teas which arrive with two scones that had been warmed but, were like rubber and a very small amount of cream. For £6.00 not great value. The tea in a chipped pot was grey and cold. We also had two milkshakes... More

Visiting Burley, looking for somewhere to eat we checked out the cafes in the village. Came across The Old Farmhouse. At first it looks like a little thatched cottage, but has an extension out the back. It was a sunny day so we chose to eat outside however you can eat inside also. Menu is a little more expensive than... More

Stopped here for breakfast, lovely little building, large garden eating area. Breakfast was served quickly and was cooked really well. Toast could have been thicker. Cream tea next...

Popped in here for lunch. Like the fact they offer GF & DF options. The food was hot, fresh & tasty. However we thought the sandwiches/baguettes were very overpriced. The service was good. The interior is quirky, if a little dark. However the building is old so we expected dark. The outside seating area is good but spoilt by the... More

Overpriced for nothing special. £7.00 for a prawn baguette is ridiculous as is £5.65 for a cheese baguette. Staff were grumpy (all young girls). The place was dark - needs more lights on. However it must be popular as it was very busy - but again it was nothing special for those prices.

Visited in august on a Thursday afternoon, the garden was quite busy and although there is plenty of seating, two of us ended up on a picnic table that could easily fit 6 as there was no where else and we did feel a little guilty. one cream tea, two scones, a pot of cream and two little jars of... We visited first thing on a Saturday morning as a family of 5. The Old Farmhouse appeared promising but was let down by it's food. The service was friendly, the menu looked varied and the coffee was good but when the breakfast arrived it was disappointing. The poached eggs were hard and had a strange aftertaste and the bread was... More

Had afternoon tea here and it was very nice, The scones were lovely and fresh and the tea served in a proper tea pot. Some of the plastic outside seating and plastic tables could do with replacing but some of the meals we saw were well presented and there was a good selection.
