There are just a few places to eat in Burley. The White Buck is about a mile outside town. Don't think about walking - it is just too far, and not easy to find. We had a designated driver and drove out on a Sunday night. Good choice off dishes, big platefuls, good quality food and very friendly professional service.... More

We come here quite often, usually for some relaxed Sunday drinks in the afternoon. The Gun Room is a lovely room in the pub with lots of comfy chairs, taxidermy on the walls and a cosy atmosphere. This is definitely the priciest pub in Burley but it's nice as a treat every now and then!

A really good Sunday roast. Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent and arrived quickly. It is quite a big restaurant, but with some lovely character spots (including a couple of areas next to big open log fires). No wine list available - upon asking, the waitress just said she had a Pinot and another type of red. Family friendly... More

Spent a lovely Saturday afternoon here with friends and children. We enjoyed coffee, went for a walk around the forest and then returned for lunch. Yummy food and a huge garden for the children to play in. The staff were very friendly and accommodating towards the children. Lots of lovely guests and their dogs! Overall a really enjoyable experience... would... More

We had a super meal with good service. Started with the black pudding scotch egg served hot with a soft yolk - delicious even if you don't normally like black pudding - like me! Then onto the calves liver - cooked perfectly and very tender with a lovely mash and greens, then finished with the orange and white chocolate cheescake... More

We visited The White Buck for a family celebration. Some of the family had visited many times before and have always praised it. The location is beautiful in the New Forest. The beer garden and the grounds are very pleasant and inside the hotel and restaurant does not disappoint. The real fires are very welcoming on a cold afternoon. We... More

Having heard good reports was looking forward to a good Sunday Lunch, very disappointed, ordered roast beef, when it eventually arrived, was just warm, potatoes not cooked through, sent it back along with others I was dining with did, new one was no better, just came out on extremely hot plates. Couldn't recommend.
