We booked to eat for four of us, on looking at the menu it seemed very bland and uninspiring for meat dishes, however lots of choices for vegetarians, started with olives and bread which were good but expensive for what you got £6.00 for 6...More

Really lovely ambiance and lovely food but overpriced compared to what you can get in the area. We ate there in 2015 and just went for a relaxing drink in April 2017 as it was a little too expensive for us to eat there again!

£8 for two slices of bread with a meagre filling and small dish of coleslaw . !!!!! Over priced for what we ate at a lunchtime.

Beautiful location, easily found a table outside in the sun around 3.45pm. Had steak and a chicken burger which both arrived swiftly within 15minutes. Really warm and tasty, no check back during the meal but everything was fine so not a problem.

The White Buck obviously has a very talented chef- the cod with risotto was the best I've had since a meal years ago at Mossimans. I would actually drive the 80 miles from home just for this meal! Just perfectly cooked and I am very...More

Not quite a gastropub but good good all the same. The starter we had chosen was sold out, my steak has absolutely no seasoning, the sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice-cream was devine. If you're staying nearby The White Buck is well worth making...More

Yes the pub is extremely dog friendly and has water bowls and dog treats on the bar to feed your dog. Lots of great walks near by as well.
