Even we arrived really late, the waiters made the effort to gave us a table. We sat in the terrace, where we had excellents views of the valley and the town, and as the weather was sunny, we could enjoy the views, which are really nice. About the meal, everything had a very good taste. We had an apperitive, a... More

Amazing view, friendly staff, fabulous food and great prices. The daily 'menu' is limited but well worth choosing and the wine list is extensive both in choice of wines and prices. This is a glorious place to have a romantic lunch or dinner.

We dined here in late August 2015. We were disappointed to be placed in their inferior room overlooking the car park in spite of having booked. There is a lovely terrace for warm dry weather but rain forecast so we sat inside. We chose the Carre Louis menu at 31 Euros. The cooking was generally good but lacking in imagination.... More

This restaurant is one of our favourites anywhere. Situated in the magnificent hilltop St Lizier Palace with extensive views over the St Giron valley, the panorama from your terrace table is hard to beat. And the food is just as wonderful. We usually go for the lunchtime 'Menu de Marche' which is the beautifully presented & delightful 3course set menu... More

On the large terrace overlooking St. Lizier and the foothills of the Pyrenees we had one of our best lunches during our two-week holiday in France. The two course prix fixe (euro 19) was absolutely near perfection with a beautiful Rognonnade (kidneys in a light sauce) as main dish, a flavourful plate from the old french bistro tradition. Good service,... More

A great experience from the start, sitting outside on a lovely evening with fantastic views over the village and the mountains. As we were splashing out we went for the tasting menu and although not every course was to my taste, with dishes like ' tete de veau' they were all amazingly presented and tasty with good wine choices with... The exterior of the restaurant is a delightful terrace with superb views. Internally, it's all a bit 90s Italian in design with the only redeeming feature being the fluffy cloud lights. We chose from the vegetarian menu, which is a rarity in France. A major mistake was the amuse bouche, which included a foie gras brulee - unbelievable really. Gaspacho... More

What a fabulous restaurant. This is our second time here and it was not a disappointment. The view, the cocktail of the day, the lovely little extras from the menu, make the whole experience a real treat. When we got the credit card bill when we came home the whole lot was very reasonable in comparison with the average places... More

The menu "Carre de d'Huard" was our choice and as may be usual we ordered the alternatives and shared each course, and each course was special. The menu and the suggested wine by the glass were reasonably priced and as others have mentioned real value for the quality and inventiveness of the cuisine. And the room is just stunning, tables... Wow! wonderful panoramic view, superb service, and a meal to dream of! Wonderful and unusual menus, very high quality food and wine, from beginning to end. Excellent value for money. You want a great time as a romantic outing, or you want to spoil your friends, this is the place to go. Beautiful restaurant inside also, but try to go... More
