Great food...lamb is amazing. Excellent service, very fast even it was full place. Bosnian traditional sweets delicious. Price vs quality incomparable....local cheese, lamb, Cevapi, salat, drinks, coffee, deserts all for 40 euro (3 persons)

Top lamb meat for take away

I was here today passing by with my motorbike, and stopped to get 1,2 kg meat to take away to my mother. What I got was exactly what I asked for, and in a top quality. As it was very hot and stuffy weather, I also had a coke with loads of ice in the seating part and was pleasantly surprised how clean and efficiently is everything run. A place to recommend!

Excellent lamb & Service

We had 1kg of lamb along with potatoes. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the food came reasonably quickly and the lady who served us was very pleasant and friendly. The lamb was excellent and reasonably priced given the quality.

Not good food

We stopped by from trip for breakfast We ordered tradioniotal breakfast. It was not good. Eggs were not fried fully, eggs were live and good to eat. I received 2 eggs and few pieces od dry meat, one small butter and one tomato. Not recommended View and location is great but we are not happy with food and prices

Succulent Roast Lamb - awesome view

Along this stretch of road there are half a dozen similar restaurants all offering roast lamb. Our driver, who regularly takes this route, said that without any doubt Restoran Kovacevic was the best. On his recommendation we pulled in to sample their lamb. The aroma of the lambs slowly rotating on the water wheel driven spits was enough to drive you mad with hunger. I recommend that if you can get a table overlooking the river - the views are amazing. When our dish arrived, I can see why everyone tells you that you have to try a Jablanica lamb roast. They do have other dishes on the menu, but the lamb is the star. Despite the number of patrons our lamb arrived fairly promptly, and it was succulent, hot, and delicious. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside (having been cooked in the lamb fat) and fluffy on the inside. The salad was average but that wasn't what I came here to eat. A cold bottle of beer was the perfect accompaniment. I can see why so many locals stop here - the roast lamb is amazing.

Insufficient & rude service

I’ll not write anything about the food. It is probably good enough as most people visit. However, the service sucks, no reception at all at the entrance, you have to find a suitable table, even not cleaned up, find a waitress to clean it (they do it with apparent discomfort, one told me that it’ll take 10 minutes, implying that we can sit if we want). Once we were able to order, the waitress was so unpleasant to serve that she was sometimes rude. As the menu was not clear to me, I decided to ask the waitress whether I have to order everything, such as bread and salad or they’re already included with meat. I had to repeat my question twice, probably because of her lack of English. She didn’t answer my questions, didn’t try to understand by maybe rephrasing or request help from one of her colleagues. Instead, she stared at me, showed a weird mimic and just go ! I decided to wait and see, so I was late to understand that we had to order bread and salad as well. This may be obvious for some, but I know many places that you don’t have to order bread, salad, or some minor extras separately. That delayed our dinner considerably and frustrated the family as they were waiting for this special dinner for long. Maybe it was my bad luck with the waitress, still, you can try others.

The best Lamb Restaurant in a sea of Lamb Restaurants in Jablanica

I've tried several of the lamb restaurants in and around Jablanica, and think this is the best one. I liked it so much we ate there twice this week (on the way to and from Mostar). First, the lamb was great. Some of the other places give you really random plates of bones and cartilage. After eating the lamb, there is a pile of bones on the plate. This place gave a plate of real, crisp, delicious lamb. There was almost no bones or inedible parts left over. Also: they actually have a non-smoking section. This seems very rare in BiH. Plus, the non smoking section was very nice with great views, glass walls, and even a big modern fan. Finally, there is a full menu of other food options for family members who don't eat lamb. The service was great and fast, and it isn't expensive. This is the one.

Very expensive bones.

What was once tradition for all travelers on this route and real gastronomy attraction now became nothing but bunch of greedy and shameless people that wouldn’t miss the chance to cheat on you if they can do it without consequences! See picture what you get in portion of roasted lamb with you pay over 10€ in which you should have 250g of meat. Family dog would be only one happy!

Secret known by the locals

Those in the know come to this strip of restaurants for lamb roasted on a spit. The lamb is delicious. Our salad was also very good. The potatoes with the lamb were also quite good. If you're passing by you have to stop at this or one of the other nearby lamb restaurants. It's their specialty and it's very good.

great food with a perfect view

Dining at Restoran Kovačević and it was an exceptional experience. The barbecue lamb dish they are famous for lived up to its reputation – tender and bursting with flavor. I also enjoyed a delightful salad that perfectly complemented the main course. The cherry on top was the breathtaking view from the restaurant, making the entire meal a feast for the senses.

Beautiful place with views

We went to this place specifically, having read the reviews in advance. I liked the place of activity. We got what we came for. The food is delicious, the main dishes here are meat, and I must admit, the meat melted in your mouth, and this was complemented by this stunningly beautiful location. Prices are probably average. The food was prepared quite quickly. I definitely recommend it.

The food is not all that and they double charged me for food. I don't hurt for money and I did not say anything but just be aware what you are paying for and how much( check Manu prices) Visited twice in one day and prices very from one visit to other for the same items. Overall it's not all that.

Great food, modernised traditional food, nice portion sizes, lovely location. We sat outside where the children could play, which was nice. We thought the service might be a bit slow because we were outside but not so. Very attentive service. Tried the red pinot from Kovacevic, was good.

This is very nice place with great view on river Neretva. Place is very good for group of travelers. Staff is very kind and friendly. We eat “begova corba” and meat and it was fabulous. I will back here soon👍😃

Dinner ok with catastrophic outcome

The service was very nice, but the food is assembly line and unfortunately I got very ill from the lamb. Since I only ate there, the cause is clear. A look into the roasting area explains it. The hygienic conditions are very poor and they smoke over the lambs.
