We were at the Catapecchia for lunch. Even though "catapecchia" actually means "hovel", this place is no hovel at all: it seems to have undergone a million-euros renewal and it's an impressive structure, a cozy and big-yet-welcoming environment. They do a variety of food (grilled meat, ...). We ate pizza, which they make which a special and excellent custom mixture.... More

This a typical Italian restaurant serving pizza and grilled meet and fish in a nice atmosphere. Good beer and wine to taste.

How fortunate we were to stumble into this restaurant in the early evening when others were not yet serving. It was just perfect: Pleasant atmosphere, play area for the grandchildren, friendly, efficient service. Best of all was the food and wine. And thank goodness we didn't resist the delicious desserts! Highly recommended!

Food, wine and service all top quality here. A very large and successful restaurant. Full of locals, great for families. All is home made. Pasta with shellfish is fabulous as are pizzas and all traditional pasta dishes. Prices very reasonable. You can't go wrong here !!

Enjoy the Pizza The "Catapecchia" in spite of its name that translate to English means hovel, is a nice venue where you can eat a very good pizza. The staff is very kind and don't abandon the customer. All of them greet and you feel very good. I had pizza named "Catapecchia" and the mix of ingredients was very tasty.... More

My brother-in-law recommended this place, and we enjoyed a pleasant evening there. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the ambience pleasant. They brought the wrong pizza and the wrong wine for one of my group, but the rest of us were happy with our pizzas. The desserts, a tiramisu and a helping of profiteroles, were excellent. Some very good... More

I found this place by accident but was pleasantly surprised. The place was much busier than most others for a Monday evening. I sat out on the large terrace but inside was quite big. They have the largest pizza menu that I have seen and the pizza itself did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I hope... More

I have been there many times in years. You can go there and have a very good pizza and pasta but fish and meat are costly and you can find better places where to eat it at less cost. I evaluate 3 at value only because of the cost of meat and fish. Good value for pizza and pasta

My biggest diffilculty is placing this restaurant on the map. I chose to stop, for lunch, whilst driving from Croatia, on the slow road (SS 14), to Venice. The nearest village is Fiumcello, between Cervignano - Monfalcone. The restaurant is easily seen from the road. I have had the pleasure of eating many meals in Italy but their pasta -... More
