A nice little cafe

This is a quaint little cafe, with a small pay and display car park just outside, which is handy as parking in Newlyn is not always the easiest thing. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. We called for coffee, which was very nice, but next time will definitely have to go for the... read more

So apart from the softest granary bread, succulent crab and tea it was the most original and perfect side salad that sealed the five star review. Cash only but worth the inconvenience.

We have been to this cafe before, but what really struck us this time was the lack of smiling faces from the staff and very somber atmosphere. But the biggest issue for us and many on this day l am very sure, was that the customer toilet was out of order, and on one of the busiest days of the... More

If you want standard breakfast/lunch café food (not greasy spoon), then this is fine. But for anyone who is not a general 'eat anything' type, Duke St Cafe has little flexibility to cater for diners such as a vegan. They did not even have soy milk or other non dairy alternative.

What a lovely place! Nice decor, friendly staff and a great crab sandwich. You can sit outside or in, they cater for all tastes and have a good range of hot and cold drinks. We had the biggest and yummiest crab sandwiches we've had in Cornwall. You need to be hungry to finish them! Will definitely go back.

Great coffee, delicious food! This little cafe is tucked away so don't miss it! The crab sandwich was delicious, and a huge serving size too.

Wonderful meal at this cute little cafe. My coeliac daughter is usually resigned to having a jacket potato when we go out. However, today she was so excited to find a whole section of the menu devoted to gluten free food, with options for altering the main menu to suit. The kids menu is also good, not being full of... A lovely little cafe with the best bacon sandwiches ever. The service, coffee and food were excellent. The only thing that lets it down slightly is the location bang next to a car park but apart from that an all round little gem.

Just a quick review of your wonderful ginger, walnut, and cherry cake. I called in for a takeaway coffee on my way through today, saw the ginger cake, and gave in to temptation. I am so glad I did as it was terrific! I scoffed it while waiting for the bus. I wish I'd bought two pieces (like the wise... More

We stopped at Newlyn to find the Newlyn Point and failed! Oh well, lunchtime! We parked the car in a small pay and display car park and the Duke St cafe was right there. We sat at an outside table. The menu was interesting and the items on offer had obviously a lot of thought put into them. The specials... More
