Having walked from Lizard needed a morning break. Quite content to wait around in the harbour, in the sunshine, enjoying the view whilst waiting for Old Cellars to open at 10.20 am although sign said 10.00 am. Waiter very pleasant and order taken promptly. Coffee fine. Tea cakes took took a long time to arrive and were pale. Not toasted... More

We decided to go to Cadgwith as a family member recommended it for the history fishing village and thatched roofs. We weren't disappointed. The boats were coming in with the catch of the day, barrels full of crab. We stopped directly across from the cove for lunch at the Old Cellars. What a great view from the court yard. The... More

Whilst staying in The Lizard , we travelled over for dinner on a Wednesday and found the gate locked. A local said the restaurant has stopped opening as a restaurant in the evening. Curious as no mention on their web site although this is has not been updated for a while.

Beautiful rustic setting just opposite the entrance to the harbour. The service was great and the food very reasonably priced. I ordered a jacket potato and it was massive. I would definitely recommend.

There are 2 places to eat in Cadgwith and we chose this for lunch. Lovely food and good service. Really good price too. Great for all the family.

Just called in for an early lunch as we fancied a day out. Stopped in Cadgwith and ate here. Very surprised as the scenery was gorgeous and food to match. Wife had all day breakfast and I had a BLT. The service, quality, quantity and whole experience was unfaultable!!! I don't know if such a word exists but it does... More

Visited here several times this week in a rather drizzly June having stopped for a drink last September. In September we vowed to try the crab sandwich on our next visit given the paltry offering down the road at Cadgwith Cove Crab. Much better - plenty of filling, a lovely dressed salad with fennel, and only a pound or two... More

After a long and very hot walk from Cadgwith to Poltresco and back to Cadgwith, my wife and I decided to have lunch at The Old Cellars Restaurant. This is somewhere we had been old previous occasions and found it okay, but nothing special. On this visit we noticed immediately that things had changed - for the better. The restaurant... More

This was one of my favourite meals while in Cornwall. Fresh from Cadgwith Cove crab sandwich. Simple yes, but absolutely delicious. So fresh that I could imagine the crabs had been thrown in directly from the boats that morning. Sat in the pretty sunny courtyard facing the sea. Friendly staff. Loved it.
