We stopped to take a break from driving and had tea and a banana chocolate cake. The cake was really good, so stop and try a bite. The restaurant was full of people and others waiting when we went, and most seemed to be locals.

Our guesthouse host recommended this restaurant to us. The service was great. My son had a wonderful chicken pasta. I had the magna pizza which was good. My husband had a hamburger that was average. We shared a delicious cake for dessert. People mention that it is expensive but all food is expensive in Iceland.

Sumarlina's is an awesome little cafe in East Fjords. Great stop if you're visiting Petra's Stone Collection on the way to Egilsstađir. Great food and great service.

We ate here when staying in the local Foss hotel which was the site of a French Hospital in the past. The owner of this family run restaurant was more than willing to give us an informative commentary on the history of the town & it's links to French fishermen & the hospital which is now the Foss hotel.

A bit pricey but it's a good place to have mushroom soup and pizza. Nothing compared to this restaurant in miles. Great view.

We visited one evening in January, the service was great and the owner even spent some time telling us about the village and explaining what was in the old photos that they have on the walls. The seafood soup was delicious and we had a very tasty pizza too. Very authentic and welcoming.

Cozy little place facing the ocean with great and very helpful hosts. Perfect place to sit for a couple of hours and sip wine/coffee.

The opening hours were somewhat limited but thankfully we arrived in time before the kitchen closed. We were visiting in the "shoulder season" at the beginning of September which might be why it closed fairly early. The staff were friendly and the food was reasonably priced (for Iceland). I wasn't sure about the raw onions and peppers in my pasta... More
