This restaurant is perched high above an inlet and the veranda has gorgeous views over the ocean. If you are lucky enough to get a seat on the veranda you can watch the food being cooked over coals. Menu had the usual Bacalau plus lots...of fresh local fish. Dorada, Rabalo, Pregada, shrimp, crabs, clams, octopus. Everything we had was perfectly cooked with vegetables and salads. We ran into friends from across the world and the owner moved tables so we could sit together before we could ask! Suggest booking a table as it is really popular.More
We went here following the visit to another restaurant for some clams and the owner recommended we visited this place instead. We weren’t not disappointed by this place at all. The service was very nice despite being very busy, the food was delicious and the...cost was not high. We would definitely recommend.More
I was there with my boyfriend who is portuguiese and know better how it normally is. I took « bacalhao a braz » which is known everywhere in Portugal and when the plate arrived, there was only crisps and eggs... basically no fish inside. When we noticed...it to the waiter, nothing happened. Our 2 coffees where also burned and the quality of the coffee was bad. For sure they take profit of the tourists during summer....More
Tried to book at 2pm for dinner. "Do you have table on the ouside balcony?" Very friendly reply: " we will try but no promises. You need to arrive at 7.45pm tops". Roger!
We arrived at 7.45 and a very friendly and comprehensive owner apologize...for having screwdup 2 reservations. No worries, they offered a free beer and we waited for 15minutes.
Worth it all the way. The staff is very friendly and joyfull regardless of the mess and business of the place.
The food is excelent and the fresh fish (always ask for recommendation) is 5star.
Overall this is a 6 star place with everything from the service, kindness, outside view, food above the average. Just the price is on the average 😀More
We had seabream and we enjoyed it so much, we looked forward to returning when the restaurant re-opened 5 days later. The only downside is that this restaurant didn't accept our foreign bankcards but we luckily had enough cash to pay.
The food and service here is ok, but nothing special, especially compared to other places in the Alentejo region. We got charged for bread, cheese, pate and butter that we didn’t order - it was brought to our table but made out to be complimentary....The portions are large, but its just not that great.More
