An absolutely top restaurant, not cheap and worth every penny. Atmosphere is modern, relaxed in a spacious well decorated set of dining rooms. The staff behaves professional and friendly. Both add to the complete experience of dining in this fine restaurant. The experience is completed by an amazing top-chef supplying totally new tastes and food experience, cooked to perfection for... In the middle of a nice and cozy village you find one of the few 3-mochellin-starred restaurants in Holland. No clue what according to the star system the difference is between 2 and 3 of these much sought after shiny things but anyway, De Leest has three which means you have to reserve a table well in advance. Apart from... More

It took some savings before we took on the trip to the Leest. Warm wellcome with spacious seating in a classy atmosphere. The amuses were a delight, and the courses were amazing as was the accompanying wine arrangement. How well can wine enhance your courses. Highly recommended, top cusine with a capital C. All Michelin stars are highly deserved

We went here with good friends of ours from Holland. We had the Flora and Fauna tasting menu. We also have eaten at many 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants in San Sebastian, Provence, Paris and the US. In terms of making your month enjoy the food this was the best. The flavors and blending of them kept your mouth... More

3 Michelin stars well deserved, second time for us, once again a very pleasant experience of high cuisine with good wines.

Delicately balanced flavours, to go out of your way for to be able to taste. Signature dish Rainbow Trout, slowely simmered at 42 degrees Celsius. (appr 23 degrees F) Specialities fish and vegetabels, although I also tasted the most tender pheasant ever. We're talking a well deserved 3-star Michelin restaurant in rural Holland. In a division of it's own, without... More

Overall probably in general the best food eaten in a restaurant yet. Well balanced food supplied for the dinner. The food was cooked, baked or prepared as it should, close to optimal. Wide variety. Nice and friendly personnel and very good service.

On the occasion of our 25th wedding anniversary, which took place at the nearby chateau, we had a wonderful dinner at De Leest. The restaurant is situated in a villa in the center of the small town of Vaassen. Interior style is classic, warm. The tables are at a fair distance from each other. A family dinner of 20 did... Take your time for a dinner at this culinairy temple of flavours. We went for the " Flora and fauna" menu,a balanced mixture of seafood and meat in entree and main courses and fresh fruits in the deserts. The plates look really beautiful and the "explosion" of flavours in each mouthful tells you why this is a 3 star restaurant!... More

De Leest is very good in meals, atmosphere and service, but compared to the other 3 Michelin star restaurant De Librije in Zwolle (and formerly Oud Sluis in Sluis) I really wonder why De Leest has 3 stars. I have dined equally well in restaurants with 1 Michelin star.
