Had an enjoyable lunch at the Raglan Arms today. Great food and plenty of it with a good selection of fresh vegetables. Starters and desserts are of good standard and choice. Looking forward to next time.

Simply wonderful, on a rare trip back to our home town of Abergavenny, Wales we took mother in law today for only our second visit and were blown away. Judging by the number of people dining we can only assume that word is getting around. Clearly the chef is a great find and we hope they can hang on to... More

This is one of the best quality Sunday Lunches I have enjoyed for a long time. It is right up there with high end restaurants in London. The setting is superb - the place has a very relaxed feel about it with that a really good blend between contemporary and traditional. The food was excellent. Duck breast with bubble and... More

We heard about The Raglan Arms by reputation and decided to visit for a recent Saturday lunch. We were very glad that we did. We received a very warm reception by the owner and sat in front of a roaring fire enjoying the beautiful restaurant. If you like steak and frites you could not get better unless you came to... More

On the way back from a short break in Wales we decided to stop here for some food. Found this place via trip advisor. Off the main A road but well worth a visit! Nice decorated and nice staff. We both opted for the fish and chips. Lovely meal. Both cleaned our plates! Compliments to all. We will be back... More

Well this was just a disaster. No welcome on arrival, one lady too busy drinking with her friends to speak to us and another eventually seated is by the lovely fire, little did we know that was as good as it was going to get. Bread and oil turned out to be toast...mushrooms starter was passable. Mille feuille vegetable was... More

This was our third visit to The Raglan Arms, but the first with the new owners and chef. The food is very good quality and the setting is cosy with a log fire and comfy seating. It was a shame that we were the only diners, it makes any place have a lack of atmosphere, but we had great service.... More
