My husband and I stopped for a coffee at the Plum Tree today, which is located at Tavernspite garden centre. The surroundings are light and airy, staff very friendly and the coffee more than acceptable. The menu consisted of traditional fayre, and they also serve Sunday lunch. Perhaps a little background music might add to it's appeal.

I visited the coffee shop the other day whilst visiting the well stocked garden centre. The coffee shop is now open again all week after being closed for a time. It is clean, bright and airy. I had morning coffee and the main meal menu looked inviting so will visit on another occasion for lunch.

The staff are great but the food is a little bit like school dinners. Eaten several times but Sunday Lunches have gone down hill recently especially when very busy. If booking in two services go for the early choice food much better. Overall you get fed but it is acceptable not great. All day breakfast I found a little greasy.

Had sunday dinner here my wife and I and our two girls, the portions were very small. We were abit disappointed, we have been to other places and paid the same and had a lot more. I had the beef, one slice. But I will say the stuffing was amazing.

The coff shop / café here is always worth a visit. A great selection of lunches, cakes & puddings. They also serve wine & beer, which can be rare in these places. On a Sunday lunchtime they do a selection of roast dinners, and the place fills for the entire 3 hours. You don't go for fine dining, you get... More
