A must-visit restaurant. Not your typical balinese food, but a multi-cultural blend. Tasted great, prices are a bit over average, but worth every rupiah. Many choices for vegan, gluten-free, etc. Please try the homemade ice cream (chocolate was sooo tasty) and the brownie. If you have any taste buds you are gonna love it.

We stayed 3 days in Lovina and ate 4 times at this cafe! We LOVED the food, enjoyed the service and the nice place. Everything was so fresh and well prepared! We had dinner and breakfast too. So good!

We visited akar cafe during our stay in lovina in august 2016 for a late lunch. We had the indian chickpeacurry (65.000 idr) and a eggplant-feta sandwich (40.000 idr). Both dishes were good, we had to wait a little bit but that was probably because we went there at the late afternoon. The wifi wasn't working.

Enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch here today, best Middle Eastern tasting plate with falafels, hummus, baba ganoush. And don't miss their homemade ice creams. Well worth the visit.

Went there for breakfast with my brother. Nice staff, nicely decorated and good food. We both had French toast, a little soggy but still yummy.

Good food nice staff, food was a little hot, but therefore tasty. The terrace is not so nice because it's placed on a dirty little River but the inside of the restaurant is in a nice mintgreen color which looks really beautiful

Had the excellent vegan curry. Would have preferred a bigger portion but it was quality - chickpeas, spinach, aubergine with red rice 65000 rupiahs.

A great place for a healthy breakfast/lunch. The food is absolutely delicious, and so is the home made ice-cream. The kids loved it, they got paper and crayons - and yummy food.

If you happen to be in Lovina area, this restaurant is a must try! One of the best vegetarian places I've ever tried. We came here multiple times and tried different items on their menu. We really adored the varieties of each meal and they were very very flavorful! Their homemade ice cream is divine. The chocolate ice cream, in... More

Fresh, healthy and very yummy dishes served with a smile, in a clean, charming and very green little restaurant. A wonderfully varied menu, everything is beautifully presented too. Love, love, love Akar in Lovina ! And I am not even vegetarian !
