We were here with the kids for a lunch. The service was nice especially with the kids. We had a view on the Danube and the garden itself is also nice. The food was rather average but all the services and the location brings it...up to 5/5 for me.More

This was the beginning of a whole day of five star culinary experiences. This is a beautiful little place on the banks of the Danube 40 minutes outside Budapest. It has a terrace overlooking the river and lovely interior space. As it was an off-and-on...rainy afternoon we tried both. This is a great space for a special occasion. While we were there both a wedding and a birthday were celebrated. The menu is much more accommodating to vegetarians than the website indicates. I started with a delicious iced coffee. The coffee was unusually good. I started my meal with an eggplant cream starter with bread, some mixed greens and cherry tomatoes. For an entree I had a creamy dreamy spinach risotto with the rather odd addition of a thick layer of melted cheese on the top. It worked, however. I am very particular about risotto (honestly, very few restaurants make them better than I do) and this was a good one. For dessert there was a chocolate soufflé that was more of a chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream. This was also dreamily delicious. There was also a very light cake made with raspberry chiffon featuring fresh balls of lovely ripe cantaloupe. This also worked well. And top it all of with a perfect espresso macchiato. It was first rate. The service was friendly, accomodating and prompt. It made it easy to dine and enjoy each other’s company. We left with an inner 5 Star smile—this food was made with some joy and some love. I’ll be back!!More

We went there with my husband for lunch to sit on the terrace and contemplate the Danube. Food was fine as usual and service was excellent. We really had a good time there.

We’re looking for a restaurant on the way and found this hidden place. The food is better quality than you’d expect in this area from a small restaurant. The service is good and the decoration is nice. The only drawback iis that I found it...a bit overpriced considering the quality and the location.More

We went there with some friends on a Sunday afternoon and really had a great food / great time. The weather was awful outside but in the restaurant it was very cosy. All drinks (pálinka, wines) were excellent as well as the special Halloween menu....The staff was really perfect as well. Do not miss the place when in the area!More

I visited the place with my dad. The decor is lovely and welcoming. Can be perfect for couple bc it is romantic. On the other hand the service was poor and the waitress didn't even know who has which food... maybe if she wouldn't play...around the the waiter as two kid would help. By the way the food was alright. Nothing special.More

This restaurant was a nice surprise. Very good location, just on the Danube banks. Lovely terrace, with the view of the river. Good food, and very interesting presentation. Service is kind and professional and the bill is not expensive ( even compared to the BP...ones). Highly recomended.More

It's been our favourite for years now in the town of DUnakeszi, 15 miles outside Budapest. This time of the year offers seating outside on the terrace with a nice view on river Danube. We had the chance of enjoying the minus of sunset, took...nice photos, had a lovely prosecco and nice meals. Try this if you chance upon this town.More
