Visiting in the low season, there are fewer choices on Burano. Gatto Nero had just closed for the winter and it was a choice between Da Romano or here. Having read some average reviews of Da Romano we decided to give Da primo a shot. It has a cozy atmosphere, a lot of locals dining here and it's nice to... More

Ate here on the recommendation of the hotel as a family owned restaurant and excellent dining experience. We were not dissappointed. The owner and his wonderful daughters and wife treated us like kings and queens. The service was spot on, the Italian wine they recommended was delicious, and reasonable, and the food was cooked and served perfectly. This is with... More

We were introduced to this restaurant by our concierge and he did not make a mistake. This restaurant is wonderful. It is a small family run restaurant on the island of Burano near Venice. Paolo is the head of the family and takes great care of his clientele, speaking English, French, and of course Italian as well as others. His... More

We were recommended this place by our guide on Murano and it didn't disappoint! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating (because I do not eat meat and very very little cheese). The prices are very moderate (low even, depending on which dish) for the quality of food! So worth it!

Our family of four had lunch here recently and while the "family" charm of the place is nice, and the food was fine, the service really bothered me. On the one hand, they were very welcoming and nice and friendly. On the other... My wife and I ordered the risotto with cream of white fish (or whatever). What the waiter... More

What a fantastic place! Very good food to fair prices which is not what you are experience in Venice! Staff also super friendly, just loved it!

Food was good, on par for what we've experience around Italy. The menu was very clear, and in English. One staff (maybe owner) spotted us on the street and saw that we noticed there were no outdoor seats. She nicely signaled that she'd accommodate us as soon as the next outdoor table became available. Good place to have lunch while... More

Visited Burano on a rainy day and had what ended as a long lunch. It wasn't a dish on the menu but they did grilled squid for us washed down with a very nice bottle of wine.

We were on a day trip to Murano and Murano and I'm glad the locals told us to wait to have lunch in Burano - this place was a true gem - authentic Italian restaurant with great service and food. We started with salads and then had the Pizza and Spaghetti Bolognese. Both were terrific and I look forward to... More

We tried reserving a table at Gatto Nero, but they were full so we just wondered around, looking for a place without pictures on the menu ;) a waitress started talking with us, and although at first we just wanted to read the menu quietly, we're glad that ahe did. She told us what's fresh, and noted the prices of... More
