A dining treasure in Sengiggi Lombok

When initially booking this restaurant they offered to pick us up from our hotel and return us free of charge, a great service. We visited this restaurant 3 times during our stay on Lombok. The first visit we ordered the 5-course menu which gave us a fantastic overview of the chef's expertise. It was really excellent food brilliantly presented. Our subsequent visits were to explore the diverse menu further. We were not disappointed. The wine list was extensive and although expensive generally (due to Indonesian duties and taxes) we enjoyed wines from France and Chile, complementing the fine food choices. The staff service in the restaurant was very good, friendly and helpful in explaining dishes.

Amazing Restaurant

We were first attracted to this restaurant because of its pretty exterior with the lovely lights and water. When we first entered we were a bit taken aback that we were the only 'non-chinese' people in there but that must of been due to the word had got around at how good this restaurant was. From the time we first walked in the service was impeccable. The staff seated us quickly in our preferred area, lay the napkins on our laps (not the kind of restaurant we expected to find in the town of Senggigi) and handled our food and wine with care and enthusiasm. The food was delicious, portioned beautifully and presented to nicely. It was such a pleasant experience and we were treated like 5 star customers. This is definitely a restaurant you want to come to if you want good food and great service.

Love the sambal

The restaurant was very responsive. They have arranged for pick up from Sheraton hotel after I have contacted them online. We had Indonesian dishes . The nasi goreng was flavourful and the duck was crispy . We loved the sambal from Ayam Taliwang . Alcohol was a little bit more pricey compared to the rest . I would recommend this place

We sat down and we literally

We sat down and we literally had to yell to catch the servers attention. We ordered chicken and salad and they were both very late. Chicken was overcooked so they made the chicken again which also was burnt. The bitter burnt taste lingered in our mouths so we made a formal complaint to the server and they defended the dish saying it was their local Lombok standard. We have been in other areas in Lombok and Gili islands, we may be tourists but we are not stupid to believe that’s the local standard and local people eat burnt chickens here. For the price it came up nearly 300k and we ate a lot better cuisine in Lombok and Gili islands for that price. Very disappointed and highly not recommended. Stay away for your own sake if you want a true local experience.

Incredible fine dining experience

We happened to drop in here by chance and we were served up a culinary delight. The restaurant is beautiful and in many countries would appear as fine dining. This was exactly what we were treated to. The service was incredible. The menu is broad and would suit many tastes. We both had the corn & baby scallop soup to start with. Creamy and tasty and just perfect as a light starter. As a main we both also had the prawn risotto which was a perfect portion size and was incredible both in presentation and in taste. The grilled prawns were delicious and fresh. We followed up with the “fallen” chocolate cake which was delicious. Everything about our meal was perfect. This meal back home in Ireland would be described as fine-dining and cost a small fortune. I couldn’t believe what I paid for the quality of food and the staff generously offered to take us back to our hotel. If you book ahead they will collect you from the local area.

Fresh and delicious!

Food and service couldn’t of been better. We had the Prawn Risotto, slow roasted lamb shank, and the ginger crème brûlée. Prawn risotto garlic butter sauce was incredible and the risotto was cooked to perfection (cost was 150k). Lamb shank fell off the bone and was the best meal in Indonesia (300k). Don’t skip the dessert because it was delicious for the value (65k).

Gourmet experience

Exceptional food and service at this fantastic restaurant. We had the sweetcorn and scallop soup for starters, the prawn risotto for main and the fallen chocolate cake for dessert, all of which were exquisite. The attention to detail and care and attention that went into each course was obvious. They also offer free collection and return to most nearby hotels. Highly recommend eating here.

Well worth the 25000 mile trip

Absolutely outstanding. Probably the best meal I've ever had. We had the seafood platter, everything was incredible, we are both huge fans of squid and feel that this is a good judge of the quality of food... The squid was impeccable as was everything else. The prawns were beautifully presented, grilled to perfection and incredibly tender. The tuna and mahi mahi were world class. The service was faultless and the wine was a petfect compliment to the meal. Can't recommend highly enough.

Great ambience and food

Excellent food, ambience and service. The head chef came to speak to us and is clearly very passionate over what he has achieved over the last 12 years there. It is great food with homely flavours at reasonable prices.

Excellent food, fantastic service

Square looks, feels and tastes upmarket, but the price is a pleasant surprise. Sengiggi is in recovery mode like all of Indonesia post border closures, but Square is operating efficiently and with finesse. Our meals were generous in portion and absolutely delicious. A good selection of western/ Lombok fusion dishes as well as traditional. Complementary starters, chilled glasses for cold beer, quick service and a courtesy ride back to our hotel, rounded out a very good dining experience. We will be returning .

Culinary discovery in Lombok

Our culinary discovery in Lombok. Amazing food, service and atmosphere. We ate here two days in a row and going for another one. Still something tempting to explore from the menu. We tried local Indonesian dishes, grilled fish and seafood. Everything was perfect. We had a chance to talk to the chef which was also amazing experience. Continue great job!

Lombok Places to Dine Out

Excellent choice with a mix of traditional and European/Italian. We discovered this place on our fourth night and it was an amazing find. It’s right in the middle of Senggigi. Great ambience, chilled music, great food and drinks and the staff were so nice. Probably the best restaurant we’ve been in Lombok and we tried most of the Hotel Restaurants. Avoid the Sheraton Lombok, really overpriced considering what you get and the quality of food and service. Quincy’s Hotel also has two great restaurants.

Lovely seafood

Popped to get out of the heat and nowhere else in Senggigi looked as nice. We had some amazing fish and seafood that was perfectly cooked. The calamari and tuna were gorgeous. Very clean and neat restaurant with decent service.

Great dinner!

We had dinner there last night, a recommendation from the owner of our wonderful boutique hotel, The Puncak. A driver from thé restaurant picked us up at our hotel, and upon our arrival, we were greeted at the door ... amazing service, delicious and well presented food!! We would definitely go back and we highly recommend this restaurant!

After all the hustle and bustle of Lombok we found a great restaurant not too far from the hotel. The meal was superb along with the friendly atmosphere and staff. It’s a shame it can’t be picked up and dropped into East Lancashire as we need some good restaurants. Was a pleasure to eat there and recommend anyone to visit.
