Once again I had the opportunity to visit O Recreo and was very well rewarded. I was with a group and had "the chuleton de vaca gallega" grilled to perfection and and joined by a bottle of Habla del Silencio, a Ribera del Duero, recommended by Victor, the Chef. Great experience with great food and good people. One of my... More

We walked the extra mile to have dinner there, based on the good reviews on TA, and we were there on a Friday night. The place was empty and remained empty even when we left, but they said they had reservations for later. The waiters were friendly and nice, nothing to comment here. We were 2 persons, ordering a couple... More

Worth finding this restaurant. Disappointingly quiet but food excellent - turbot (rodaballo) was exquisite - the chef recommended we eat it with boiled potatoes which were delicious. A great post Camino meal.

Today we visited O Recreo for lunch after checking Trip Advisor for a bit of guidance. We'd have been walking the Camino for a month through Spain and for me this is the best meal I've had. The seafood was cooked perfectly and so fresh. We had three share plates of squid and crab then finished with a dessert each,... More

Relied on Trip Advisor yet again when in a "strange" town and was not disappointed. It is a little out of the way but well worth the walk. We were the only customers on a Friday night in October but the quality of the food made up for the lack of buzz. Most of us had the razor clams in... More

Chef and owner is a former employee of Can Roca, and supervised customer service very closely, providing a nice and personalized experience. High quality food, with more sophisticated preparations than most restaurants in the region at reasonable prices.

Nothing special about the place. Poor cooking, medium to bad service and expensive for the quality you get. The meat was badly cooked and it was of poor quality. Go to a different place.

We went there because we read good comments on trip advisor and we were not let down. The food was well done, bit greasy and certainly not boring. Even the salads were good; sth very difficult to achieve in Spain. :) very recommendable!
