We were staying at St James Club. We wanted to experience "The Hideout". We saw the trip advisor reviews and thought we should go. We made reservation prior to our trip to Antigua to ensure we got in. What a great restaurant and right up the street from the SJC resort! such a cool and eclectic place with great music... More

I had read the reviews and was convinced, since we were renting a villa just down the road, we should make a reservation and give it a go. The place is charming, rustic and quiet. Definitely a setting for a romantic night out. Our server, Aisha, was superb, anticipating everything and missing nothing. We shared three starters (mussels, shrimp and... More

We went to Antigua for my 40th Birthday in October and stayed at the St James Club. I was looking for a great restaurant to celebrate my big birthday and Cruise and Chill Kristian recommended this place as it was close to the hotel. Litererally five minutes drive away. The food was exceptionally good - I went with my husband... More

There have been a few changes during the year but Max continues to produce very high grade food. For many years i have continued to enjoy the mushrooms en croute with bacon, walnut and a great sauce, afterwards the fillet of beef in peppercorn sauce, whilst my wife loved the snapper veronique. The restaurant is just a couple of miles... More

This place is very special! For foodies! Easy to miss (no sign), extremely small (around 5 tables, so book ahead), dark intimate setting, candles, no view but... amazing food! And some great wines! My recommendation: 1) order a bottle of Bodega Faustino Rioja tempranillo - they still have 2010 vintage, and it is a great rich full-bodied red. 2) start... More

We visited twice two years ago and vey much enjoyed the food. We had a good evening although the menu was not as varied as before...we were looking forward to the scallops in particular which were a real winner for us before but sadly not on the menu. No Gavi on the wine list and the Castillo white was a... More

This restaurant only likes to have a limited number of covers presumably to keep up the excellent standard so don't expect a party atmosphere here! There is some taped music - but it's a wonderful location to have a live musician - classical guitarist maybe as there is lots of unused space. The food is simply divine - couldn't be... More

If you are staying at St James Club or anywhere else for that matter you need to leave your all inclusive and have at least 1 meal at Hideout. Best meal we had all week and we had some good meals. Portions are large. The starters can be a meal. We started w/ a goat cheese bruschetta and mussels (delicious)... More
