Just checked into the hotel and enjoyed light lunch of salad and a beer....awesome so far. Room is very nice but bathroom is small. Front desk person Nati is very nice. Will try dinner tonight and see how that goes.

For those always looking for an alternative to traditional rest stops, this is a good place for a good traditional Austrian meal. We discovered this on our way from Italy back to Germany. great setting. the food and service are a good value. Sitting outside watching horse frolic infront of a backdrop of the Austrian alps is a plus.

This hotel and restaurant is nestled in the hills, surrounded by pastures with cows and beautiful horses. It's very quiet at night and the bed is very comfortable. The food in the restaurant met our expectations, and had lots of authentic options. I tried the goulash with dumplings and it was excellent. The service is good and they are very... More

We ate at the Gasthof zum Schluxen in April. The service was a bit slow because there was only one person trying to manage the inside and outside areas. The food was pricey, but delicious. I had the cordon bleu and my boyfriend had the schnitzel. The restaurant and surrounding areas are beautiful. It sits in the middle of an... More

We liked our meal so much the first night, we ate here the next night too. Many locals were at the other tables. Had different salads, entrees and desserts each night and liked everything (I am a picky eater too). I suggest getting a reservation.

My wife and I ate two dinners here. It was a chance for me to get Austrian food and my wife to enjoy some Italian food. Check out the special for the day, it is most likely your best choice, but the rest of the menu was excellent as well. If you are staying at the hotel, I suggest reserving... More

Everything we ate was superb! My husband had the wild game both nights and I had veal one night and chicken cordon bleu another. Our kids who are 6 and 3 loved it too. The price for the quality of food was amazing. It was realitively cheap we thought for how good it was.

We had a spacious comfort room on third floor with balcony, which offers great view on surrounding area. Dinner at restaurant on first floor was delicious - tried local food.

While staying at the Gasthof zum Schluxen we had dinner at their restaurant. The meal was traditional Austrian (our selection). The portions were ample and the meal excellent.

We traveled all over Europe for a month and I got so tired of paying 50-100 Euros for mediocre food and leaving the table hungry. This was not the case at Gutshof. Great food, reasonable value, cheap food for picky kids. We ate there two nights in a row it was so good.
