We visited on a Saturday and came here after being told that we would have a 2 hour wait at another restaurant - we were faced with a similar wait here, and again, as with the other restaurant, there were empty tables aplenty but it...would seem that there are more tables than the kitchen can deal with. As we deliberated on what to do, they agree to let us sit at a table and order drinks until we would be able to order food. Given that we had 2 tired children in our group we elected this option. About 30 minutes later we ordered and the food appeared pretty shortly after. The food was good - not "amazing", but good, and the serves were generous and well-priced. The only problem was that the arrival of the food was spectacularly haphazard. We had mains arriving before entrees, my brother-in-law had received his entree and main before my husband had received his entree, which eventually arrived - but after his main. it was a complete shambles. But, we stayed calm and went with the flow, principally because the serves of wine by-the-glass were the largest I've seen anywhere! We were very relaxed and content! The decor is pleasant - it feels a little bit like a theme restaurant (with the theme being oldy-worldy Rus) and it was a bit dark inside for summer dining (lots of wood panelling & exposed beams), but in winter I imagine it would feel very warm & cosy.More
