We stopped here for a quick coffee and something sweet.
We had excellent food and service. The bakery recipes are all family recipes and having tried a few of them, they were all delicious. The omelettes and dark chocolate sorbet were also superb!!
The mixed reviews here hide an extraordinary high quality bakery with the most fabulous selection cooked fresh on the premises from traditional recipes. The premises are stunning and the food experience amazing. Service was good in my experience and for such excellent food it’s good...value for money.More
The pastry is a place for having a great time at night. Most of the Sweets are Greek recipes and at a decent level. Serving is problematic. As I mentioned many people were leaving after waiting a long time to be served. The only choice...for sweet but it is something that you have to try.More
I stayed in Milos for 7 days and I went to Palaios 8 times! The desserts were amazing! You could understand everything was homemade and every time I was excited to try something different! Also very nice for breakfast. The service is a bit slow...but the food overcompensates!More
To those who complain that it’s not cheap here... you’re right, it’s not. But it’s not expensive either.
The produce is fantastic. Every item is made on the premises, bread, cakes, biscuits, pastries, ice cream. They even pasteurise the milk.
The cafe is beautifully built...with an eye for detail and the customer’s comfort being most important.
With all this, some people are upset that a cappuccino, including some homemade biscuits, costs €3.50? Hahahahaha. Go save yourselves 50c or so elsewhere. I hope it’s just as nice.
Long may you continue Palaios. ❤️More
We went for breakfast and we ordered the full breakfast with omelette which cost 10 euro and gives you one omelette and two pieces of bread and a spoon of honey. Plus a coffee and a juice, not fresh juice, it's paid extra.
Another one...coffee and small bottle of water costs 5 euro. Not something special.. disappointed.More
Wonderful baklawa, lemon pie, mille feuille. Almond marzipan filled cookies to die for. All fresh prepared daily in the basement . Mille feuilles only available in the evening for 1 hour, easy to miss... a must if you visit Plaka
