One of the best options to eat in the Plaka neighborhood. The service is very familiar, they give you a glass of local wine while you wait and they let you know how much time is left if you are waiting for a table. The delicious dishes, with good cooking and flavor. Moussaka or octopus is recommended. Value for money, good

Excellent restaurant, very reasonable prices, located in a busy little street but quieter than some plaka restaurants. The service was smiling, the menu is varied with classic local dishes and other more typical ones. The portions are very generous, don’t hesitate to share!

The food and ambience here is wonderful! Great location in Plaka with a good vibe. You can sit in the street or in the outdoor patio which is really lovely. We ate here with a family of 4. Our server was great and showed us pics and videos on his phone of 5-6 of the most popular dishes. I chose the lamb dish which was so tender and wonderful served over orzo. Other hits at the table were the Greek salad and the goat dish which is one of their specialties. We will be going back!

Had a lovely dinner here, really tasty food, one of our best meals on Milos. The Herriot salad and artichoke starters were delicious - really stood out - and the osobuko and slow cooked lamb for mains were great. Pretty setting in a little courtyard too. People were queuing up to get a table, we arrived at 7.30 with no reservation. Highly recommend here

Exceptional typical Greek dishes, with the addition of proposals that we have not found in other taverns, such as lamb ossobuco. The best Dakos of Milos and the Cyclades in general, great fish, good bulk wine. The location is delightful, tables along one of the alleys of the center or in an internal courtyard, well ventilated. Very kind staff.

Yummy dinner in the middle of Plaka

The food was delicious and the location in the middle of Plaka was fun. I had a very tender lamb dish, and my husband had Cretan pasta with smoked salmon that is making us hungry just thinking about it. The only negative was the smoking customers around us. The waiter was really friendly.

Lovely authentic style restaurant in the heart of Plaka where we had a great vibe with lovely staff and lovely food. It was authentic and everything was perfect. One comment I would have is that they bring breads and dip which they put on the table and you do pay for it as the couvert. It is pretty common in Europe but just good to know and I do think they should always ask.

Hidden gem, in front of another restaurant. It’s in an alley way

We waited 30 mins around 10pm but it was very worth the wait!!! We already saw long lineups but the host approached us with wine! What great service!!! The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Shrimp saganaki!!! If I could I would eat here again!!!

Good but very basic restaurant in Milos, Plaka - we took the pasta with caramelized pork and mutton: as for the pasta, the pork is very good but absolutely not related to the pasta which is extremely dry, I had to add a ton of parmesan to make it to minimum good, as for the mutton, it was very good but the potatoes that accompanied it without flavors. Wow! Brother and sister run this great tavern! The best food for miles around outside of Adamas! And such friendly service! Bravo! Anyone who finds something to criticize here... doesn't know much about Greek cuisine! It tasted wonderful!

Alright food, busy spot.

It was a lovely spot with a beautiful sunset just around the corner. If you get the right spot you could see it. The aubergine starter was fantastic but the mains were standard. Service was okay but a lot of the young waiters just stand around not doing alot, blocking the walkways. Caught a few staring at the woman walking by rather than clearing tables. Other than that, a nicely situated, reasonably priced restaurant.

Our dinner at Avli-Milos was one of the most memorable meals we had during our 8-night stay on the island. The staff was super friendly and suggested we try to eat on the earlier side, around 20:00. By the time we arrived there was already a decent-sized queue, but the wait wasn't too long and the food was oh so worth it. Like others have mentioned, the portions are quite large, so make sure to work up a big appetite during the day, and then enjoy your meal!

Oh em gee! We had been craving hand made pasta for a few days and found this restaurant with amazing reviews but nothing prepared us for this mouth water experience! We already had some dishes in mind but asked the server what he thought we should get. A few of his recommendations matched what we had planned to order! We went with 3 options! The prawns, the lab and the cannelloni! The prawns were amazing, save some bread for the sauce - you can’t get enough of it. The lamb with orzo was good- but could sue a kick after we tasted the cannelloni. The cannelloni - we will be dreaming about this dish for years to come. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, the sauce of was light with an explosion of flavour and the pasta was cooked el Dente! We are obsessed! My recommendation is to come an hour before sunset, and eat before you go watch the sunset. You could wait an hour for a table if you decide to go after sunset! Service was excellent!

Located in the heart of Plaka city in a picturesque alley you will find Avli. The grilled cheese pie with honey top was A M A Z I N G!!! We had the rooster and the beef in tomato sauce. It was like tasting food made with love by our mother, only with a high gastronomic touch! The staff was really friendly as well!
