Went there twice for dinner and both times we had a lovely meal. We had a table in the restaurant where you have a view to the road running along the Lion Inn. You can also eat in the bar.

Very enjoyable three course meal for five on a Saturday night. Prosecco outside by the river before meal. Good vegetarian option. Good wine list - excellent Argentinian Torrontes. Highly recommended.

We arrived at 7pm without a booking and were told we would have a table at once but there would be a wait. I really do not dee why one has to wait 50 minutes for one's food even with a warning!

Spent one night at The Lion Inn and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. Freshly made croissants were excellent and the second helping of coffee was most welcome. The room was pretty with a nice bathroom, and the bed was particularly comfortable.

Not by the food, but by the decor, the casual attitude of the staff, and the overall ambience. The Lion has a very smart website, and a creative and dedicated team in the kitchen, no question. However... It would be lovely to sit outside by...More
