This is a special restaurant that everyone who stays in the area should try. It's situated in a church and the grounds are absolutely wonderful! The food served is very tasty, only local produce is used i.e. the ingredients used do not travel further than...1km!! A massively long selection of wines! At the very beginning customers are presented with a small amount of a local cider served in unique test tube style glasses resting in a heavy stone on the table. A good selection of dishes and although no prices are to be seen on the menu except for wines (which may make you feel a bit uncertain;), when it comes to paying the bill you are in for a pleasant surprise!! It's great value for money!! It most definitely is if you're used to going out in restaurants of the same caliber anywhere else in Europe.More

set in a beautiful location right next to the Staffarda Abbey the place is very welcoming and run by professional personnel. The food is somehow not really authentic (it is borderline between traditional and nouveau cuisine), for my taste a little pretencious and lacking in...authenticity but good and served in nice quantities. The menu is fixed with a choice beteween different starters and main courses. Excellent piedmontese wines are available. THe desrt was huge, a trio of delightful sweets (that is if you have enough space to try them all :-) ) The location and friendliness and professionality of staff make up for any criticism. I recommend to try this place at least once, it is a must.More

This really is a charming place with a super professional staff who really made us feel welcome. All the dishes were scrumptious and beautifully presented. Homemade bread and foccacia were very appreciated.

This restaurant is an unexpected find. We took a tour of the monastery and decided to have lunch in their restaurant. We arrived too early so we had drinks at the bar. You automatically get a cheese plate with salumini and breadsticks with your drink...order. The cheese was unlike anything else I have ever tasted. And, of course, Torino is known for the breadsticks. The restaurant is beautiful and the food delicious. There are no tourists. This is where the locals go. We highly recommend it .... even for just the wine and cheese!More

We were doing a self directed cycle tour and ended up at the Abbey at Staffarda. We decided to have lunch and weren't sure about going into the restaurant which looked reasonably formal. So glad we did. They did the most outstanding three course meal,...which would not have been out of place in a top line restaurant, all for only 20 euro per head. Unbelievable value and quality. The pasta entrees were substantial and then followed by a couple of options for main course. Then the desert. Cant recommend this as a stop highly enoughMore

I stopped for lunch here after visiting the Abbazia. This was one of the best meals I've had in Piemonte and the whole of Italy. The food was simple but perfectly cooked and presented. I had the weekday lunchtime menu: antipasto, primo, secondo and dolce...plus coffee and water - all for 20€. The quality was comparable with restaurants charging twice as much.More
