More than satisfied with the experience. The atmosphere in the stone and wood room was fantastic. The young staff were helpful, fast and very friendly. We drank their homemade Pulec wine, which was excellent, paired with the starter (steak tartare) and the main course of Tomahawk and Rib eye steak. The meat was finger licking good. The pistachio tiramisu, which you can't get anywhere else, is delicious. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, as you can't get 45 days of air-dried meat for such a low price anywhere. We left full, satisfied and smiling. Highly recommended! :D

View relax and good food and drinks

Excellent location food and service! Just a quick stop for drinking something in a summer afternoon. The waitress was kind and I enjoyed a couple of Slovenian beers and a good glass of wine with an appetizer of local salami. I know also the pizza is very nice and why not.. the prices too. Thanks

Tasty food, amazing wine & friendly staff

Been here twice, had pizza one time and some beef tartare and cold cuts the other time and it was all very tasty. Staff is very nice and friendly, lots of tables available indoor and outdoors, the ones on the balcony have a beautiful view of Brda. Their wine is a must try!

Unfriendly place

After a long day through Goriska Brda region, we were hungry and we wanted to eat something. While entering to the Belvin restaurant there was no warm "Hello", but cold "Put the mask on" even there were no other guests at the restaurant. OK, this is not such a friendly place we thought, and sat down anyway.The waitress was very cold, unfriendly and did not have a minimum wish or the knowledge to explain their daily menu even though they had some kind of daily specialities, she said. After our third question about it, she finally explained it with a very unfriendly tone and acting like we are dumb. However, we ordered pizza. Pizza was very average, nothing special. Price was OK. Our expectations were not met, we were extremely dissapointed and we will definitely not come back. We received nothing warm and memorable to take home from our trip. We do not recommend this restaurant until they start to appreciate their guests and treat them with the respect they deserve.

We are regulars at this place on weekends. We appreciate the place as a location. This evening my partner and I went there to get something to eat for dinner. At the entrance on the upper floor we noticed that there were a few more people than usual and a family who was probably waiting for accommodation. We went downstairs and were greeted by a waiter who asked how many of us there were. We replied "there are two of us" and he told us "we have room for two but only outside", pointing to two free tables of 4; we sat down. After a few minutes a waitress arrived asking us if we had come down from upstairs and if we had taken the ticket with the number (something we have never done in all the years we have been going to Belvin) and that there were other people waiting before us. We got up and left. I think it will be several years before we set foot in Belvin again. It had already happened a few years ago, and always with the same waitress, we had a rude attitude over a complaint about a dish. After a couple of years, during which we no longer went, we wanted to try again, perhaps and probably for the last time: there are several places in the area.

We were looking for a place to eat and saw this pizza restaurant at about 0,5km from our stay. We walked there and there was a lot of space. We went downstairs to a table. Received some slices of bread with olive oil from the area. Great taste with a little salt. A wite wine from the area was very nice and cold. We bought a bottle afterwards. Starting with a nice carpaccio with small slices of pizza dough with garlic followed with chicken from the grill and a salad mediterranean. Some fries with ketchup and mayonnaise. Friendly waiters spoke well English and served fast en good. Overall very good food for a great price. Thank you!

Nice restaurant with great service

We visited Belvin in late afternoon. We could choose different food from menu, but chose pizzas and pistacio tiramisu. Excellent choice. Pizzas were delicious, tiramisu was perfect. Service was fast. The waitress was so kind and warm person that we already know that we will visit this restaurant again. And we shouldn't forget to point out really good wine. So if I sum up, Belvin is an excellent choice.

Tasty pizza and mixed grilled meat

After a rain we had to choose a table inside but it was nice anyway. Staff is friendly, food is tasty, prices are fair for Brda. When I think of this place come only positive emotions, despite loud and on a border of agresiveness Italian at the table next to us (luckily he found a table outside and he was calmed down afterwards). The staff is taking care of hygiene and you can only pay at he bar on your way out, which is a really good idea for not dealing with money (which is dirty and may be contaminated by a definition).

During our stay, our local host highly recommended this gem of a restaurant, and it certainly exceeded all expectations. Nestled on the Slovenia-Italy border, this restaurant offers a breathtaking view over the surrounding vineyards and orchards as you dine. The waitstaff is supper friendly and pleasant. It's easy to see why this place is so popular among locals, both Slovenians and Italians. We were so impressed by our first visit that we returned the very next day. We tried different dishes, and every single one was amazing. The desserts, especially the Millefoglie with vanilla cream and strawberry sauce, were simply divine—truly a piece of heaven on a plate! Place with a view of the Slovenian Collio and beyond. Great reception. I ate the typical Belvin dish that should be eaten in 2 and is more than enough. Good quality meat and wine produced by them. Very empathetic service. Price 40 euros per person

The Belvin is also very popular with the Italians (the beer is particularly good and cheap here) and unfortunately it is now part of everyday life that there is a very large crowd here. Average restaurant. We were shocked about the wine temperature. After mentioning this, the waiter put the bottle into ice, no apology or whatever. Very strange for a restaurant in wine region and for one offering their own wines.
