It's hard to ignore what locals call one of the best in their area. We selected Cafe Fiore as the topper of our stay and found it was all the recommendations claimed. We bypassed their great selection of wines because of an earlier start on the vino. The selections are presented well and our choice of the Pollo de Sonoma... More

We had the Di Mare Alla Fiore and Linguini Fra Diavolo! The seafood was fresh and was perfectly cooked with the pasta. They were chock full of seafood. Also had the garlic bread, minestrone, and calamari, all excellent! Reservations a must. Great wine selection. $160 for a couple with 3 glasses of wine. I love this place! Very small, intimate... We were in this town for a short time and our hotel recommended it.......I should have known better than to go to an Italian restaurant that I haven't reviewed. I am Italian and I am very fussy about where I eat Italian. Mu husband enjoyed his meal, I was surprised. I just wanted pasta, so I ordered fried meatballs and... More

Tucked away off the beaten path you'll find this sweet little restaurant housed in an old log cabin. The Italian specialties are superb as is the seafood. Service is attentive but not overbearing. The wine list is very good. We loved the swordfish special as well as the pasta. Salads are savory and generous. Reservations are a MUST.

This small beautifully run restaurant is a delight from starter to finish. Fortunately our local friends had booked well in advance and we were warmly greeted by mine hostess. Presumably on booking you can choose whether you eat inside or out, the out still being undercover but more exposed to the elements - given it was July there was a... More

This is our go to spot in Tahoe. Make sure you get reservations as it is small. The patio is great when the weather is right. The garlic bread, which is $5, was much better than I remembered. The wine list is solid. The swordfish was popular too. Don't dress like you just came from the lake or the slopes.... More

I wish this restaurant was in Portland, as it is my new favorite! My granddaughter had the best poached halibut and I enjoyed medallions of filet mignon. Everything was perfect, I started with a wonder Fiddletown Zin, caesar salad and had a homemade tiramisu for dessert. The staff was very attentive but not intrusive. This tiny (like 7 or 8... More

Restaurant is run by incredibly friendly people who make the experience absolutely first rate. The food was very very good if not a little basic. Basic is good as was very well presented, perfect temperature and tasted great. Cannot go on enough about how the staff made the evening work. Was really nice and when back in Tahoe I'd def... More

Recommended to us by the owner of the apartment we rented, this quaint, lovely place is so easy to find. Frequented by local residents, and loved by tourists like us! Great ambience, Fabulous food, and efficient, friendly servers. No wonder this restaurant gets a lot of customers!

Have eaten here each summer for many years. Firstly, do not confuse this restaurant with another of similar name in Ventura. There is NO connection between the two. This is a very small restaurant, so reservations are definitely recommended. We opted for the deck which is very pleasant. They have a nearby patio with two or three tables for overflow,... More
