I heard about the ice cream here so really wanted to go. We didn't let the long line scare us away. It moved fast and was really worth the wait. We each got waffle cones and the single was huge! Really good. Friendly kids working there too. We ate at a table outside in the shade. I think we need... More

This is the best ice cream around! We had a family reunion in Tahoe and we had to go get ice cream 4 out of the 5 nights we were there! This was one of our highlights

My wife and I were on our honeymoon we were driving through when she spotted the line...the line spoke volumes and this place is really good, tourist pricing but they are totally worth it...the college age students make it very enjoyable and they have infectious smiles and attitudes....here is an idea, they actually had a college fund container, I spent... I think being in the pines makes the ice cream taste better. It's really nothing special - nothing you can't get at any other place, BUT the prices are great and you get big scoops. Don't rely on the flavors you see on the board. I was disappointed to find that they had many more than what's listed (e.g. coconut).... More

Nice little Ice Cream shop on the side of Hwy 89. The entire Camp Richardson area is a nice alternative to the rest of the South Shore. If you plan on going back to South Lake Tahoe park on the South Side of Hwy 89. If traffic gets bad you may not be able to turn around for a while.

I've driven by this ice cream shop a hundred times, but never ventured in (typically due to the long lines). Learn from my mistake and don't wait to go in. Super friendly folks work there and "one scoop" is really large! The ice cream is delicioius!

For the price ($4), you get ~2 scoops worth of ice cream ($1 more for a waffle cone). Easily shared between two people our age. We had both the kona coffee and coconut flavors, both were excellent. There is a small dirt parking lot in the back, otherwise you need to find parking along the east side of the highway... More

Ice cream is just an important part of any vacation, and this spot is conveniently located and quite charming. The servings are huge, way too big- but amusingly so, and it's fun to have a huge amount of ice cream on occasion. My family enjoyed the flavor and creaminess of the ice cream. We were glad we didn't wait in... More

We always stop here after renting bikes at Anderson's Bike Rental. This is the perfect treat after a long bike ride through the beaches and Taylor Creek. I think they put an entire Pint of ice cream in each scoop! I got a double cone and was almost sorry... well not really because it was awesome! The lines are almost... More

Out here, so far from any dairy, I didn't expect decent ice cream, let alone good quality and a respectable selection. There may not be 31 flavors, but there ae 18 or 20 including some special, temporary offerings. The ice cream is very good and the prices are FABULOUS, making it well worth the lines that exist most of the... More

The "Camp Richardson complex" includes a general store a coffee house and an ice cream store. The Ice cream store is a local favorite for good reason. We waited in line at least 20 minutes and every time we drove by during our trip there was always a long line. Very good ice cream.
