Took my husband to the Rose and Shamrock to celebrate his birthday. Was busy but staff were very efficient. Enjoyed the fire because it was a chilly day. Great range of beers on tap and the food is well worth a return visit. Good menu to choose from and prices are reasonable. Enjoyed.

This is a great little place. Very popular. Had a lovely English pub atmosphere. A great roaring open fire and good food. I had Camembert crumbed and fried with a nice sauce . It was very very nice, came with snax biscuits but did no go with the platter however the rest was very good

Old English style pub with lots of varnished wood and an open fire. Meals are cheap and cheerful and very big, one would feed two. Friendly staff abound. Busy for early eaters and it got busy as time went on. A great place to meet people and enjoy a drink or too.

Pub style food, cooked really nicely. Fairly large meals but smaller sizes available. Lovely atmosphere with roaring fire. Service is prompt and cheerful. Would go back

Just enjoyed another of their Schnitzel meals. Nothing flash, but lots of fresh salad & plenty of fries, & covering it all 2 large pieces of schnitzel with lots of rich gravy. The plate was full & so were we when we finished. Sat next to a roaring fire that gives a cosy ambiance.

What a great local pub. Great beers, great pub food. Lots of space for families and couples, lots of different size tables. It's always busy whenever you go. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Garlic Bread is the best. You have to try it.

We have been here often in recent months and the meals were always good, large portions with a good taste. The last few times we used a voucher for 2x Large Schnitzel meals for the price of one, but the most recent visit was disappointing. We always got 2 quite big schnitzels, but this time I got a single big... More

Was 13 years since my last visit and the food was just as good. Comfortable chairs and very friendly staff. Filled with locals the food selection was still something for everyone and delivered quickly and friendly. Great selection of local wines.
