We have eaten here regularly for years but recently something has changed, and not for the good. We were there very early for a Valentine's Day dinner. First off, I was informed that the grilled scallops that are advertised on their website were no longer...available. Okay, no big deal - We switched to the shrimp. I told the waitress that we would split a large meal and she assured me that it came with the salad bar. The food was fine but when it came to pay, I was meant with a huge amount of embarrassment. First, the manager said that the salad bar was never to be shared, He left the register and balled-out the waitress. When he returned, he said that we would have to pay for another salad bar even though the error was not ours. This all took place in front of 8 people waiting to be seated who were left with the impression that my wife and I are "salad stealers" - Very embarrassing! Next, we attempted to pay with a VISA gift card that a client had sent me. This same man made a huge deal out of the payment method as being unusual and further embarrassed us in front of other guests as he wound up lecturing us about our payment method. We left thoroughly humiliated for no reason at all and will not be back. A once great local eatery has been reduced to ashes for us because of an thoroughly unacceptable bad attitude on the part of management. We used to recommend this restaurant to our friends - NOT ANY MORE! Our treatment was totally unacceptable!More
