If you ever want to eat a great meal, this is your restaurant. There's rumor that if you eat at a place where you see big rigs parked outside, you're most likely going to have a great meal...well, that's true for The Airport Chalet!

This restaurant is known for their burgers and for their massive $5 cinnamon bun. When I say massive, I mean massive. The buns must be about 10 inches wide by 4 inches thick. They don't sell them in the restaurant; they sell them in the bakery right outside the restaurant. The restaurant is right across the street from the airport... More

We stopped at Airport Chalet for lunch because the parking lot was full of local cars. Good choice. It was nicely furnished and tastefully decorated with historic Yukon aircraft photos. We both ordered their daily special, which today on Friday was seafood - a bowl of New England clam chowder and a tuna sandwich on toast for $10.

Food was good and service was too. We had two in our party. One had pork chops the other had Salisbury steak. There was only one waitress but she handled the job very well.

You would never think to try this hole in the wall restaurant found in a ratty looking motel on the side of the highway across from Whitehorse Airport. But in truth, the hotel and the restaurant are great! The restaurant has some good old home cooking and great baked goods. I had their massive cinnamon roll for dinner last night... More

Conveniently located right on the Alaska Hwy, next to the Airport Chalet Hotel. Visited here twice. The food is excellent, and has a well-stocked lounge. Great service and great atmosphere for relaxing after a long, hard day on the Alaska Hwy.

This place is pretty run-down looking as you walk in ... carpeting worn and ripped etc. Once inside it's a bit weird as on the right is a 'lounge' and to the left you can see thru a window to what almost looks like the kitchen, and beyond that we could see people sitting at tables. Did we come in... More
