Delicious food. A very busy restaurant, crowded on an early Sunday evening, but nevertheless conversation friendly.

We were in Quebec in August and it was very busy. The lovely maitre d' got us to sit on a bench outside while we waited and brought us drinks. After about 20 mins we got great table on pavement. The food and wine were all fantastic - we all had three courses (2 children - 14 and 11 -... More

The service was excellent as was the food. We started with a steak tartar followed by the fish of the day which was grilled Marlin. Both dishes were beautifully presented and the Marlin was superb. We added a desert and with the wine this has been one of the best meals we have enjoyed in Canada. We arrived before 6pm... More

My wife and I had the appetizer menu--$39 for three--and were very satisfied with the quality, creative ingredients, and presentation. The service was first rate--efficient but not rushed. Nice location for people watching dining on terrace.

Great service and ambiance, eating on the terrace and enjoying the Old Port. I thoroughly enjoyed the rare veal liver and they kindly accommodated my food allergies by substituting vegetables and salad instead of the tartiflette with Riopelle cheese. My husband enjoyed the beef tartar--best texture and taste he has ever had. The service was friendly and very attentive.

Dinner choices, other than that evening's special--the sauteed sea bass--were all right, but not exceptional. Good wine list.

We were sufficiently tempted by the menu and reviews to accept the 8.30 reservation. They only accepted 6.00pm or 8.30pm. It was worth it though because the menu is interesting and the preparation and tastes very good. We particularly enjoyed the Foie Gras and the Trilogy of Tartares. My Veal chop was very tender and tasty and the duck confit... More

With only two nights and a bust the first one, the pressure was on! When a shopkeeper and a local shopper at two different boutiques recommended this, and it was close to our excellent hotel (Le Priori), we opted to try it. The menu was versatile and appealing (I love it when it is hard to decide) and all four... More

We ate lunch at L'Echaude upon the recommendation of some other travelers. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent! We had a fish entree, salad, soup, wine and chocolate sorbet. All were very well done and the presentation was delightful. We sat outside and the service was impeccable. Even the bathrooms were exceptional.
