Brunch was a not-to-be-missed experience!

It almost pains me to write this review, because I'd like to keep this restaurant a secret! But brunch last weekend was so wonderful that I can't. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are great, was very impressed with the fish which was served with homemade spring rolls, our waiter suggested the perfect wine. Try the desert which has small portions of all their offerings to share. My bets experience at a restaurant in Quebec city

The food was spectacular. The Smoked Mackerel BLT was an excellent starter and the fish - red tuna- was as nice. Definitely a great dinner. Service was excellent and the staff were very well informed of the menu and the wine list.

I enjoyed this restaurant 2 years ago on my own but recently returned with my wife. I took awhile to find it and when we got there it was so busy we almost turned around; so glad we didn't. Alexis served us at the bar and was absolutely the best, engaging, friendly and efficient. The meal we so fine we... More

Wilson, the maitre d', couldn't have been more accommodating and personable. The menu is varied with choices of deer, rabbit and bison as well as more usual choices. The service was exceptional and we enjoyed one the best meals ever with wine choices that truly complimented our varied choices. We enjoyed our 1st meal so much that we went back... More

This was definitely the best food in Quebec as far as the four of us are concerned. I cannot remember what my friends wife had for an entree but I vividly remember what the rest of us enjoyed. My friend had tried rabbit at another establishment (which specialized in rabbit). The rabbit at L'Echaude was far tastier. My wife got... More

My husband and I had two memorable meals at l'Echaudé this past week. We were greeted by Wilson (first name), the maitre d'. His genuine warmth was apparent immediately. Throughout our meal, he was attentive yet never intrusive. He was professional and personable. Wilson's knowledge of wine and food pairing was impressive and suited our meal to a T. Our... More

We sat outside on a beautiful summer night. The service was very good and the atmosphere in the adjacent back alley very European like. I started with a smoked salmon appetizer which was excellent and then had a boulubaise lobster broth for my main meal which was to die for. The recommended wine was excellent and the overall dining experience... More

Seriously, this restaurant had the best egg bennies ever and for a duck confit sandwich it was simply the best. Great comfortable decor and the staff were really great. On the repeat visit list and this time we will also do supper. Awesome job!

Two friends and myself enjoyed a wonderful dinner last Friday evening. I always do a fair amount of research before selecting our dining choices and L'Echaude was high on our list to try. We were not disappointed. The ambiance of the restaurant was exactly what we enjoy. Not overly crowded or loud - just perfect. The service was spot on.... More
