This is a great place and not touristy at all maybe because it is about a mile outside the city walls. Food and service were great and a very decent wine list. Try the Cocotte for two. When we went it was a seafood medley with scallops being the star. The Boudin was one of the best I ever had.... More

On the advice of the hotel owner, i walked to the cafe du clocher. Didnt book but in an off season time it was not a problem. The service was impeccable and the same for the food. Tried to go last month again with my wife but it was closed on sunday evening. Will try to be better in the... More

Loved it. A delightful brunch, great selection of choices all served with delicious coffee. The staff were charming. beautiful old room with huge windows open to the street and we explored a different area of Quebec City than the old town. Well worth the stroll.

We happened across this place by complete chance and had the best lunch in our trip to Canada. The food lifted us away, the prices are fine and the ambience shows that it is frequented by only Quebec's most knowledgeable foodies.

A Candian friend took us here for lunch and the food was excellent - fresh, eye-appealing, good portions, and great service. The fish of the day was very fresh, wonderful cream vegetable soup, and terrific crème caramel for dessert. Good selection of wines by the glass. Would like to return for dinner some time.

We had high expectations and made reservations two weeks in advance, so we were really excited when we sat down at the restaurant. We ordered the salmon appetizer and then the beef and fish entrees which we split. The food was very good, very french (read: lots of meat and butter), and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. However, the wait... More

This was our second night in Quebec city and our 5th night in Canada (Montreal one night and Mont-Tremblant 3 nights) and by far the best meal we have had on this trip. The venison carpaccio was spectacular as well as my main course of pork tenderloin. My partner had the steak. I enjoyed my meal but really liked his... More

Just a great place in an area of the city you would not think of visiting and the would be a mistake. This is a good example of urban renewal.

This was a quick cab ride from the Upper Town. The atmosphere of the bistro is charming. The service was excellent and the staff do not rush you. The presentation of all of the courses was spectacular and the portions very generous. The staff are very comfortable in both English and French and very accommodating. Reservations are mandatory. It was... More
