We went to the Buffet de l'Antiquaire after spotting it while walking through the old town. As we arrived around 11:00, the place was fairly packed with other people seeking breakfast/lunch. Although we were able to get a table, we did have to wait a bit more than expected to place our order. Even so, our food arrived very promptly.... More

Every year we come to Quebec City and our morning ritual starts with a hearty breakfast at this little gem. It is just steps from the best hotels in the old city and has the most authentic breakfast in town. The tourtière is a must !!!

While down in the lower part of Quebec we stopped for lunch. Very reasonable prices. The sausage and poutine were absolutely delicious! Service was superb! I highly recommend for lunch.

Food was very tasty, even my 9 year old daugher who is very picky on food ate every single bit of her spaghetti with meat sauce. Location is not bad, service is good too. Highly recommend!

Have been to Québec city a few times but I have never stopped at Buffet de l'Antiquaire. While visiting Place Royale it was recommended to me. It was worth the walk down the street. Lots of choices on menu, even breakfast...very affordable and service was impeccable. Will go there for breakfast next time I am in Québec City.

Having walked all over QC, we were ready for lunch after leaving the farmers market. With multiple cafe's with outdoor seating, we came upon one that was extremely busy off the major streets. Obvious it was a place frequented by locals, so we gave it a try. And did we make the right decision. All 3 of our sandwiches were... More

Read about this restaurant and decided to try it out for breakfast one morning. They open early and I was there at about 7 am. I had a table on the sidewalk. The waitress was so friendly, helpful and efficient and even brought me a few extra napkins to wipe my face because I was perspiring from the heat. Breakfast... More

On a recommendation, we made it a point to lunch at the Buffet de l'Antiquaire (on Antique's Row). It was soooo great, we came back a second time for the daily meals. The first time we enjoyed Steak Frittes and a ground veal patty smothered with mushrooms. Both were accompanied with potatoes, vegetables and a small salad. The second time... More

Since I moved to Quebec City, the Buffet de l'Antiquaire has proved me times and times again it serves some of the best breakfasts in town. Even though it's in a touristy area, meals aren't overpriced. Friendly advice: when your waiter asks you if you want the homemade jam... SAY YES! It's delicious!

We walked into what reminded us of Annapolis' Chick's and Ruth's restaurant, a friendly diner-like environment with myriad combinations for breakfast. Service is fast and friendly. Costs are very, very reasonable. Best spot for breakfast in Lower Quebec.
