The food is delicious! Lots of choices on the menu. Friendly staff. Convenient location in lower town. There were 6 of us. We each ordered something different and we all loved our meal. They brought a crock of pickles to start.

Had mushroom pasta, Mac and cheese with pork and Salad with brie cheese. We all loved the food and Service was wonderful, they didn't mind my broken french from high school :)

It was ok. I wouldn't go back and not sure what all the hype is about as it was recommended for us to try. Service was just ok, on the slow side.

This is the perfect restaurant! The food is superb. The drinks are outstanding. The service is impeccable. The prices are perfect. We enjoyed eating at the location in Basse Ville that we tried another in the business district. Both were excellent and slightly different, but still delicious. All offer a carnival of poutine in a mind-blowing dozen varieties. They also... More

Coming in out of a downpour, our waiter preempted questions by saying "You need a beer and ribs!" He was quite right. Both were excellent. There are lots of choices in the Champlain area, and Cochon Dingue just "looked right." It was a good decision. Can't say more about the menu than "take the ribs." And the beer. It's a... More

Cochon Dingue is a classic Quebec spot. We grabbed lunch upon arrival. Had to wait a while for an outside table but it was worth it with great people watching on the busy Petit Champlaign. Had some local biers and some sandwiches on homemade bread. Service very friendly. You know it is good with lots of locals there as well.

Went to Cochon Dingue for the first time for Saturday breakfast. We went to Rene Leveque location. Nice atmosphere especially on the patio - we were seated on the back patio. We both ordered coffee and eggs Benedict (I had smoked salmon, he had ham). Both were awesome with choice of bread. We ordered the "Buerre de Pomme" (apple butter)... More

This is not a fancy place but it has a great selection of good comfort food, and our waitress was so pleasant and efficient. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the veggie sandwich - both were great. We ended with the traditional sugar pie. Highly recommended for a quiet meal.

As I was touring the streets of Quebec City with a friend, we noticed how crowded Cochon Dingue was. A crowded restaurant makes me want to stop and find out why some many people are in attendance. We looked at the menu with great interest and decided to try it out. We were both pleased with our meals. He ordered... More
