L'Affaire is an incredible experience. From the enthusiatic hosts who will give you a detailed description of the menu (written on chalkboard and changed frequently) to the laid-back approach of service it's one of the best experiences I've had. The food is incredible, (I'd highly highly recommend the sweetbreads). They were also accommodating to vegetarians in our party as well.... More

Sat at the bar, watching 5 young men with a passion for food and hospitality. The food was stunning, the energy and generosity were remarkable. An evening to be remembered for a lifetime!

I called for a reservation 2 hours before the first seating and they luckily put us at the bar. It's very small and when sitting at the bar you feel like you're in their kitchen. Very cool! It's only 4 guys (including the chef) who take orders, make drinks etc. so they have worked out a system. The options are... More

We went here with high expectations and left slightly disappointed. The setting is comfortable, with the kitchen right in the room and great smells everywhere. The service was good. I ordered the steak, cooked medium, and while it was tasty, it was tough. We also ordered the pork loin, which was tasty, but pink inside, not to my liking. For... More

We had dinner here for a special birthday occasion as tourists. They have 2 seatings per night (which I was told when I called for reservations) 6pm and 8pm. If your are seated at 6pm you need to be out by 8pm. That was no problem for us. The neighborhood is slightly outside of the tourist area and a little... More

We watched a television show featuring this restaurant and had to incorporate them to our trip. It was well worth it. A small place that makes great food on stoves. We had three appatizers and each a main. Price was expensive but worth the money and experience.

This place is off the beaten tourist track, though I am sure they get their share, attracted by great reviews on Trip Advisor. It's in the Lower City on rue St Joseph, which is a funky street with restaurants, bars, shops, people hanging out, the odd homeless person, and so forth. We had little idea what to expect of the... This restaurant is small! We literally had a table in the window. The doors are open a lot as it's hot in there and the cooking ventilation is not great (you will leave smelling like a kitchen). There were many flies because of the open doors. Now, the good part...the food is great. The waiter will walk you through every... More

Let me tell you about this little place that was a recommendation from another restaurant a while back and this is my second visit while working in Quebec City. It's a mighty fine example of a 'hole in the wall' with people that just clearly show that they love what they do, cook and make sure you have had a... More
