I have visited Masaru sushi bar three times, but have only managed to eat there once. You really have to work around their limited schedule. Frankly, it's there for their convenience, not yours. Not even the facebook page has the right hours, and if you manage to park somewhere close, you can end up disappointed when they tell you that... More

I went to this place because i read those comments on tripadvisor. Also I love sushi and went to a lot of sushi places. There is no menu for this place, only chef recommended. I thought i will be disappointed. However, I totally surprised by the chef recommended. I love them. It's really American style.

I don't know what ANYONE who is leaving this place 5 star reviews is talking about. What's most surprising is that some claim to have visited Tokyo and are comparing it to this extremely mediocre place. All the rolls taste the same, everything is very salty, not impressive at all. Masaru is getting an extra star for the decent price... More

A very American interpretation of sushi. If you don't go with any expectations other than to have a meal that taste like sushi...it is actually not too bad.

My partner and I came across this place whilst on a casual walk through the city. We looked it up on trip advisor and decided to try it out. One word, incredible. We are both lovers of sushi and Masaru exceeded our expectations by 1000. The chef is an absolute genius. We went for dinner the first night in town... More

We read about the reviews of Masaru from Trip Advisor and wanted to check it out! My son and I went in and we were asked how many sushi rolls we wanted. We asked for 15 rolls. Akim made 3 different types of rolls and they were absolutely amazing. You have no idea what kind of rolls you are getting... More

I went to Masaru sushi bar during a cold day of November and I can tell you, this is one of the best sushi bar in town, period. Akim is really awesome and friendly. He really take care of his customers and his sushis are phenomenal. Do yourself a favor, if you are visiting Quebec City and have an appetite... More

I was surprised that there's no menu and all you needed to do was said, how many pieces I'm abled to eat. It was good, you could taste the different texture on each piece of sushi, you didn't even need to dip in the soy sauce though it was on the table. Just eat it on its own, Perfect!

Travelled to old Qc city for work. I stopped by this place, didn't know what to expect. I walked in there and they showed me a table and I waited. I thought they would be providing me a menu to choose from, but no, the concept works on how many piece of sushi you want to have. Quite original, I... More

This was one of my favorite meals in Old Quebec - and the most economical! This is a small place, so get there early. We got the last two seats at the bar on a Friday night at 6. There's no menu - you just name how many pieces you want and the sushi chef delivers a platter of creative... More
