I like the Parlementaire and living myself in Quebec-City it is one of my favorite restaurants. I like it especially because it is not as most of the other places. It is the canteen or cafeteria of the Quebec deputies and higher ranked government stuff. And to be profitable they decided to open it to the public. The interior and... More

Due to the size of our party of 129 guests, we had a set menu of butternut squash soup, choice of chicken or pork over puréed potatoes with streamed veggies, and dessert. The soup was good, my pork was over cooked, and the dessert was not memorable...seriously can't remember it it was. Service was below average for such a stately... More

This restaurant is in the Parliament building. It takes a bit to get in - you have to fill out a form with your birthdate for everyone in the party and go through a metal detector (all understandable). We went for breakfast and the eggs were the creamiest I've ever had! The atmosphere was great. For breakfast, there were few... More

We had breakfast here before our tour and we were the only ones there! We couldn't believe it, because this is the best value, nicest breakfast in town. The dining room is amazing and so is the food and service! All breakfast options are $13 and include unlimited coffee. You cannot go past this. It is a must do in... More

We ate breakfast at the Parliament before our tour. Note that the English tour was a 11am so check tour times before you come over to eat breakfast. We ate in the beautiful dining room up stairs (not the cafe). Our group of 6 were practically alone in the dining room. Service was impeccable. I felt like we were eating... More

Well, the place is very nice (please correct the name: it's French and it is LE Parlementaire...) in the building of Parliament. But if we speak of haute cuisine, I cannot agree. Maybe we were too many in a bunch, but nevertheless a pea soup with popcorn and the rolls we were served are not my concept of it. I... More

If you have the chance, definitely try to have either lunch or breakfast at La Parlementaire located inside the National Assembly of Quebec. I had a lovely dinner here last year as part of a convention I'd organized. This year when back in Quebec with friends, we went for a tour of the building and a wonderful lunch. The building... A gorgeous dining room with service to match. I was only there for breakfast, and had the 1817 -- a full breakfast featuring Québecois delicacies like cretons, a meaty topping for toast. Excellent prices, too. La Parlementaire is in the main building at the National Assembly. Visitors have to go through a security screening, so allow a few minutes. The... More

We toured Parliament on Tuesday, made reservations for Wed lunch. WOW, great, terrific food and service. We plan on having lunch there anytime we are in Quebec. Because of the old style of architecture, it can be noisy if crowded. Still best food ever!
